Israelis will overwhelming choose the party that ensures Israel's future, while denouncing the party of appeasement!
2. Did Rabin also know?
Jake B. ,   Cleveland, OH   (10.28.12)
Firstly, let me pass along my warm condolences to all of Israel on this 17th anniversary of Yitzhak Rabin's assassination. Strangely, yNet is not reporting the same news in the English version as today's Hebrew press. More revelations regarding the Yom Kippur war have been made public. The information relates to an intelligence officer, Aviezer Yaari, who passed along early information about Syria Egypt's intention to attack. Instead of being rewarded, Yaariv was in fact reprimanded for his actions. The information was intentionally left out of the Agranat Commission's report. As time passes, it's becoming more and more clear that Golda Meir and her closest cabinet members knew exactly when the attack would take place. Their mindset was that it was worth absorbing casualties of a "surprise" attack - in exchange for what they thought would be the immediate realization on the part of the World Community as to how evil the Arabs really are (i.e. attacking fasting Jews while they were praying in synagogue on the holiest day of the year). They were also convinced that Egypt needed to gain back the pride it lost in 1967 in order to obtain a lasting peace. This, and much more embarrassing policies of the Labor government will eventually become public knowledge - perhaps after all the remaining veterans of the Yom Kippur war are dead and gone.

Why a week early? What's the Hebrew calendar, with all its inaccuracies, got to do with the Rabin assassination?

7.  a stain on our history indeed
Sam ,   kfar saba   (10.28.12)
and followed by the even bigger stain that Nethanyahu's years have had on the country. If only there would have been some bigger 'purpose' to Rabin's tragic murder - Nethanyahu should be ashamed to stand in line at Rabin's memorial! Whatever Rabin was, Nethanyahu isn't.

Thank God that Bibi is not like Rabin, lets not forget that Rabin loved his alcohol, in excess, and was a chain smoker. He also had a nervous attack / blackout during the 6 day war. Peres is another hypocrite, he and Rabin were at each others throats. Rabin should NOT have been assassinated, however there are too many questions left unanswered about that tragic night. Why shouldn't Bibi in the line up to remember Rabin ??
9. This is Yitzhak Rabin
sam ,   colorado-USA   (10.28.12)
Remember the lessons of his life, like his vision of freedom, tolerance, cooperation and security, happily spoke and sang for peace only shortly before his death,Rabin took up arms in order to defend Israel's freedom and sacrificed his life in order to secure Israel's future,as was a military hero was a hero in peace with the Palestinians too, to lead his people into a new era away from wars,he spoke directly to the Palestinian people, he said: "Enough of blood and tears" we like you, people who want to build a nation and plant a tree and the feeling of love and to live side by side with you in dignity and compassion as human beings for peace, let's get to the coming of the day when we say (A Farewell to Arms) "This is Yitzhak Rabin
10. Let's face it there will never be peace
David ,   Israel   (10.28.12)
While I believe Rabin was a great leader, I will never ever believe the Palestinians ever wanted it or will want it. Simple
