that can't be right. Peres has never been elected by the citzentry to any position. Afraid of a washed up old man who outlived his usefulness over 50 years ago does not have any logic. peres was given the presidency because of what the world thinks of him not what the people of israel think of him. Fact, if they thought otherwise the population would have elected him to something years ago, and they did not. Over 50 years of them not electing him. What does that tell you?
