with no access whatsoever to a garden. They have no contact with the earth as a growing entity. What I would suggest is that public growing gardens be established at very little cost where retired people and others will be working the land and composting local table scraps as well. There is no need for large scale organic waste recycling undertakings. They are proven to be money pits after the initial startup costs are absorbed. The incredible use of packaging in the food industry, is where most of the excess paper and packaging waste comes from. Pare down the packaging and you will have less garbage.

These allotments would be a wonderful way for people in apartments to enjoy growing flowers vegetable and fruit I guess the biggest challenge would be access to water Allotments in London for example have waiting lists that extend into years....
