1. What a sick, sick man
Carl ,   USA   (11.06.12)
So critics of those horrible ayatollahs are racist and "anti-Muslim" but critics of Israel (himself included) are noble and upstanding citizens of the world, or some such nonsense. He should be reassigned to Syria or Pakistan to document actual human rights abuses. Of course, that would last about a day until meeting an unfortunate work accident at the hands of his peaceful and benevolent hosts.
2. I am full supporting Richard Falk

Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.06.12)
will probably fund the UN just because of this idiot. Hopefully Romney will win and chop down on UN dues.
4. Falk's bigotry
DavidM ,   USA   (11.06.12)
RIchard Falk has a long record of bashing Israel and Jews and Christians who support Israel. He reached a new low when he repuiblished nazi style cartoons and then said he didn't have his reading glasses. It is no surprise the UN hired this man.
5. He's basically a walking, talking strain of lupus
Guy ,   KC, USA   (11.06.12)

what an ugly ugly man
8. Only sanctions will end the Israeli occupation, not boycotts
Alan Smith UK   (11.06.12)
Israel had its borders set out in the original partition plan, with the rest of Palestine earmarked for a Palestinian state. The only motivation Israelis have for occupying the West Bank, E.Jerusalem and Golan is avarice and greed, and their only supposedly legitimate claims to that land are based on historical fantasy and religious comic books, none of which are acceptable under International Law.

11. #8
NO to ignorance   (11.06.12)
Dear Mr. Smith: Kindly read the 1920's San Remo Treaty and UN resolutions 80 through 242. Until you understand all these particulars you should SHUT UP! Your antisemitic comments reflect your willful and profound ignorance of the facts! You are just a run-of-the-mill ignoramus...exhibiting the common garden-variety hackneyed displays of Jew-hatred.
12. He was lured by Helen Thomas
Susya Bar Dror ,   Israel   (11.06.12)
Falk is doing all these in exchange with some romantic nights with Helene Thomas. Or with Nazrallah? Who knows.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you.

Falked Up   (11.06.12)
If it falked you from behind.
15. #8 Partition Plan
Larry ,   Or Yehuda   (11.06.12)
Alan, Do you know that the partition Plan is illegal under international law? Do you know that according to International law, the borders of Israel include present day Jordan? Do you know that according to international law, Jordan was defined as the Arab "Palestine"?
16. The US, Canada, Australia and other countries ought to, at
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.06.12)
once, to cease paying the bill for this man and the institution in which he chose to be admitted: the UN...
17. #8 Palestinians prefer terror to statehood
Cynthia ,   USA   (11.06.12)
The partition plan was rejected by the Arabs who preferred to go to war with Israel. Jews have always had a presence in the West Bank. Jerusalem is Israel's capital and the Golan was liberated after decades of bombings carried out by Syrians against Israeli farmers and civilians. Still, the Palestinians prefer to attack Israel verses reach any agreement to end the dispute.
18. Richard Falk and no 6
R   (11.06.12)
If historical fact and comic books are non scientific , then please stop using your computer (Israeli science and tech there) stop taking anti biotics (Israeli science and tec there) don't dare use your. Mobile (Israeli science and tech ere too) and try not to drive your electric car ( Israel's work there too) but concentrate on lost jobs for Arab population in those nasty industries you so despise, and remember that your energy could be used Ina real problems like Syria, Yemen or even Bradford uk- Get real, grow up and become a responsible citizen of the world and leave the trendy keffiyeh wearing to the real people not the new left who need a "cause" instead of a life
19. @ Alan Smith, #8
M. Davison ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (11.06.12)
I suppose it would be cruel to remind you that the partition plan, which the Arabs rejected, was the result of the Mandatory Power (surprise, surprise), the UK, making a complete mess of the job they were given by the Leagfue of Nations. What would have been so hard about partitioning a mandated area into two parts and helping to create an Arab state and a Jewish one? Great Britiain saw fit to create an Arab state in 1923 (Jordan, with 77% of the Mandate land included), but never created the Jewish state mentioned in the Mandate. That job was left to the UN. Just to sweeten the pot-- UNGAR 181 was a recommendation, not binding, which the Arab countries rejected AFTER a General Assembly vote that passed with a majority (a clear violation of the conditions of menbership to the UN). IF the Arab armies that attacked Israel had been victorious instead of vanquished, would you be making the same comments as your talkback in favor of the Jews? That's assuming that there were any left after the Arabs completed their self-declared objective of genocide against the Jews...
20. to Alan Smith No 8
Jim Tel-Aviv   (11.06.12)
Greed, arrogance of Britain as occupier of N. Ireland, Gibraltar,Falklands, brutal opressions of Scots, crimes against humanity in India, need I go on, you self-righteous git? Give Ireland back to the Irish, let Scotland go free, give Falklands back to Argentina, pay reparations to every country you invaded and opressed through the centuries, you may very well start with S Africa where you invented first concentrations camps for civilians - how many Boers died there? Go and have a pint or two, maybe three, take care of your country, we'll take care of ours. Do you feel lucky, punk?
21. 8# Look outside of the box for facts.

22. to #8
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (11.06.12)
I'll overlook your altogether skewed and malicious legal and historical conceptualizations of events in this part of the world, but I suspect your boldness would not carry through to describing the Quran as a religious comic book.
23. #8 you are deluded, ignore facts
Chopper4 ,   CPT, South Africa   (11.06.12)
You are right, Israel did have its borders demarcated. However the Arabs decided to attack Israel and lost land fair and square...no? Then they tried again and lost more land fair and square...no? Then they tried again and lost even more land fair and square...no? As for occupying the Golan...it is not occupation when you have annexed it and it now belongs to Israel under legitimate laws. As for the reference of comic books and fair tales...that is just hypocritical and contradicts your first sentence. Whose idea was the Partition plan...The Bible or the UN? The re establishment of Israel has nothing to do with the Bible(expect for showing its true divinity of prophecy) however it was all the UN. So better luck next time you jealous piece of work! The Arabs are sore losers and after losing all their land they want it back boohoo boohoo. I wonder if the tables were turned and the Jews wanted their land back, if the Arabs would be treated the way Israelis are? your comment is delusional and devoid of fact and also hypocritical!
24. a man with a major minority complex
tiki ,   belgium   (11.06.12)
When the Falks of this world get ignored, the angrier & more vicious they get. So give him more of this medicine for it seems to work. An ugly man with an ugly caracter and a stupid, non relevant opinion.
25. #8 Sanctions ?
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (11.06.12)
Mr Smith, you appear ignorant about History. You appear to be a hypocrite as you call for sanctions and overlook Syria Darfur, and all the attrocities going on around this dangerous world You are blind to what GB did to nurture terror, sheltering dangerous criminak vermin thrown sought out by their own countries I could go on but you hardly justify time
26. no boycott of israel but strong support
dr daniel mostrel ,   paris france   (11.06.12)

27. Re #8
Andrew Brehm ,   Zurich   (11.06.12)
"Israel had its borders set out in the original partition plan" Which the Arabs refused to accept, so we can forget about that. "none of which are acceptable under International Law" Does that mean that I, as a German citizen can expel Polish citizens from from Silesia? What about removing the North-Vietnamese regime from South-Vietnam or the US from Hawaii? What about the Germanic tribes in Britain? Or does this new law about occupation of land won in a war apply to Israel only? What a coincidence.
28. Re #23
Andrew Brehm ,   Zurich   (11.06.12)
"As for occupying the Golan...it is not occupation when you have annexed it and it now belongs to Israel under legitimate laws." That's not how it works for people like him. When the British took the Golan from the Turks in WW1 and gave it to the Arabs, that was "legitimate" and "legal". (For some reason their giving Palestine to the Jews was not.) But when those same Arabs attacked Israel and Israel took the Golan from the Arabs, that was "illegal". For Jews, having the first culture with a written law that was equal for all (Hamurabi's law differentiated between slaves, commoners and noblemen), it's sometimes difficult to understand how different laws apply to different people, but that's how the world works. I guess the problem is not inequality before the law as such but the European pretence that that is not what is happening. Europeans are quite capable of explaining to you that THEY have the right to take land from the Ottoman Empire and, for example, grant the Arabs power over the Kurds, but that when YOU do it, it's "against international law". Also note that the European view of what a "law" is is different from the Jewish view. In Judaism the law is written down before it is broken. In Europe the law is written down as soon as one is needed so someone can be accused of breaking it. That's why no European country ever had any qualms about occupying a neighbour's land and keeping it while screaming bloody murder when Israel does the same after being attacked. Likewise while in WW2 Americans, Europeans and the Japanese happily sank enemy civilian freighters, stopping an "aid transport" is regarded by many as "illegal" (although not even the UN thought so).
29. Jewish?
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (11.06.12)
I assume anyone this insanely hostile to Israel must be of Jewish origin. I hope his mother isn't around to see what he gets up to.
30. #8, you've made a typo
Naftush ,   Israel   (11.06.12)
In your haste to condemn Jordan for its illegal occupation of "the West Bank and E.Jerusalem," you mistakenly typed "Israel." Just sayin'.
