nicely in the last years of DDR regime. I saw it with my own eyes.
2. mind boggling...

I still can't believe Jews would move to and live in Germany (i.e. Israelis and Russian-speaking Jews) just for some extra cash... Jews NEVER learn from their history, do they. How can they want their children to mingle with the people who carried out the single most heinous crime in human & Jewish history just boggles my mind? Are they happy their children will speak their language and mix with their people? They should be embarrassed to partake in Germany's whitewashing of their past...
3. Jews should leave Germany
Reuven   (11.07.12)
and come to Israel, where they are welcome.
4. #2 you need not wonder...witness the American Jew today

He is a spinless useless fool with nay a concern for his own future and wellbeing. He has just signed his own death warrant to a life of want neglect and fear. Incredible stupid people. I guess you can wrap the golus Jew in a bagel and lox sandwich and he still comes out an onion ring.
5. #2, #3

why are Jews moving to Germany? hmm, let's see: because of the security (social, intellectual, personal)? because they can actually afford living there? maybe because Germany is right now the last country in Europe where history might repeat itself? you can say anything you want to, but they really learned their lesson after WW2. unlike some other countries. and maybe they're moving away from Israel because of the orthodox indoctrination and political misery served by Natenjahu, Liberman and Shas? I'm really really tired of those comments about people being mindless and whatever, just because they are moving to a country where they can actually live the life they want and not the one some minority forces them to live. get a grip people - WW2 was 70 years ago, the world has changed, deal with it.
6. probably better to live in Germany
Israeli ,   Germany   (11.07.12)
otherwise they would have came...
7. Old article?
Hannah ,   Berlin, Germany   (11.08.12)
This synagogue reopened in 2005 (!). It is very beautiful, but unfortunately quite empty - esp. considering its size - on a normal shabbat. Most Jews in the area are either Israeli and don't go to synagogues at all or orthodox and go to their own synagogues. Half of the people that attend the services seem to be non-jews and tourists that have read about the synagogue.
8. Rykestrasse Synagogue

Why is this story being printed here and in Shalom Life as if the re-dedication took place in in 2012? According to The Guardian (U.K.) the rededication ceremony was on August 31, 2007. Furthermore, Rabbi Leo Trepp z"l was born in 1913 and were he still alive today, he would be 100 years old. However, the esteemed rabbi and author passed away in September of 2010 at the age of 97.

Rafael. Soon enough the Germans that you adore will send you to Dachau or Sachsenhausen. Only this time they will be assisted not by the Ukrainian and Lithuanian guards but by the Moslim immigrants. Your German patriotism won't help...
