Obama's mandate is wafer thin . He knows he is lucky to get a second term Benghazi is not settled , and with the box now open, he tricks on Al Quaida sans Bin Laden alive strong spreading are become transparent. Economy failed , military unhappy, Mr Obama has his hands full ,a chance to patch up his mistakes to avoid a legacy of the worse USA President ever. We should see a different Obama, who will not dare swim further out, with plenty of hungry sharks in the water.

Eitan has a one sided view here.Obama and the US government do not hold all the cards and there is a lesson for Obama from his failed middle east policies.He spent a lot of political capital trying to get Israel to stop construction in the so-called west bank but he gave up in the end and now has to contend himself with issuing disapproving statements every time a construction project is approved.The fiasco over the middle east may also have poisoned his relations with Congress and the Senate and cost him dearly.Also he managed to harden Abbas's position which was completely counterproductive to the peace efforts.We now have a more experienced and cautious Obama.
