Bob   (11.07.12)
Should Obama win, racism won again. Were he to be white he would never have been president in the first place.
2. Tool
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (11.07.12)
This little gem in an otherwise balanced article - "They will be facing a coalition of conservative businessmen who worship capitalism and want to see America play the role of the world's tough sheriff. " Hey Jackass! I'm a Jewish conservative, I'm not a businessman, I don't worship anything but Hashem, and I don't want to see the US play any role other than protector of the American people. Your bias is contemptuous, just like your arrogance.
3. Let me explain to to the clueless including the author
Al   (11.07.12)
Should Obama be re-elected, Israel will end up being screwed blued and tattooed. IE Obama will screw you over like no tomorrow. YOu will be on your own. He will squeeze you every which way from Sunday. You will be forced to accept 'peace' conditions that will make the current situation in the south look like a picnic. The very heartland of the country, yes the holy city of Tel Aviv will be under constant bombing much like Sederot. That will be your future under an Obama. As for Iran...they will develop the bomb with Obamas blessing. To the Jews of America who voted for this dolt,,you will have the blood of millions of Israeli Jews on your hands. You did nothing to stop the murder of European Jews in 1939-45, this will be your second time around. Shame on you...you never grew out of the Ghettos your great grandparents escaped from in the early 20th century. They your great grandparents would be ashamed of you. That is the legacy of the American Jewish Community. Spinless, useless and on the fast track to nothingness.
4. You have no idea.
Steve ,   Plainedge, NY USA   (11.07.12)
Never assume tomorrow will be like today. we can come together as a nation and achieve any goal. Americans are optimistic and future oriented. We will get it together. The best is yet to come.
5. Spare us the spiteful snivel
Cameron ,   USA   (11.07.12)
Certainly not for Israelis, of all people, to run off at the mouth on the issue of troubled, divided nations.
6. Cameron, #5
Vlad   (11.07.12)
Or maybe, citizens of divided disillusioned nations can recognize another one when they see it.
7. @#3 - we voted Romney
Dave ,   NYC USA   (11.07.12)
Every Jewish person in my neighborhood voted Romney to my knowledge... Meaning the orthodox (real) Jews. They know and they understand what Obama stands for. Israel knows how to defend itself and there are too many zionists there to give up the W. Bank. It will never happen. Its America that will be lost - our country. We're transfering the wealth of this great nation to foreigners. We're slowly losing our freedom and letting the government take over. Its pathetic.
8. over simplified, partly out of date view.
bob k ,   orlando usa   (11.07.12)
Yes Obama does attract 'people of color' not for the 'compassion', although some liberals see that. More importantly, blacks and hispanics receive a largter proportion of government benefits and its that government money they are saying yes to. As for Republicans supportign 'conservative businessmen who worship capitalism' ... what about women? Married women support Republicans, as do evangelical women (men also). Democrats want more government benefits and government control, Republcans support free enterprise, a smaller limited government, and more freedom of the individual. These things seem not to be understood by Orly Azoulay.
9. #4 steve - good post

solomon ,   bklyn   (11.07.12)
someone else who knows the future without a doubt; a true clarivoyant.
11. Fear and ignorance and greed.
davel ,   melb   (11.07.12)
It seems fear and ignorance and greed are less appealing to American voters these days. Maybe Israel could learn from this.. Al#3 haha- "The Holy City of Tel Aviv", you obviously know what you're talking about! Dave#7- "everyJewish person in my neighbourhood voted Romney" All two of them? did you conduct an exit poll? It seems unlikely that anyone so xenophobic and unhappy would have any friends at all.
12. #3 Al
Vlad   (11.07.12)
While I'm sure Obama would LOVE to do that, he can't. The Republicans still have the House, so he'll be very limited in what he can do. The worst harm Obama can do is downscale cooperation and oppose arms sales and aid, and that may actually be good in the long run. Israel will begin making its own weapons and paying its own military budget fully. A bit more costly, but Israel will now be fully independent from US influence.
13. this is the Israeli left, folks
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (11.07.12)
"They will be facing a coalition of conservative businessmen who worship capitalism and want to see America play the role of the world's tough sheriff. " Right, that's why Republicans do best in the red states--we all know that the red states are populated by "conservative businessmen." Azoulay left out the vast mainstream of tens of millions of Americans to whom the traditional American values like hard work, enterprise, personal responsibility, and having enough national pride to want to defend America militarily still mean something--and who, very tragically for America, Israel, and the world, have lost this election. Who in Israel is celebrating the results? The left and only the left, with their child's-eye view of the world. They also think the surrounding, lovely MIddle East is dying to "make peace" with us and a conservative businessman like Netanyahu is the sole obstacle to it.
14. No...we'll just blame it on air heads who haven't
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (11.07.12)
got a spine when they re-elect an idiot for another 4 years. Obama will buy a bigger golf cart......and throw Israel under the bus with more enthusiasm this time out. He does have four years to terrorize your nation as well as the rest of the coups he has established in the Middle East. It was a pathetic night.....being handed over to the same warden of the same prison... by a bunch of cowards who couldn't even see that they are in this idiots prison colony.
15. OBAMA JUST WON!!!
Frank-el ,   Seattle USA   (11.07.12)
16. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.07.12)
You think the best is yet to come? Not with another four years of Obama, it won't. On the bright side, a second Obama administration will force Israel to make some tough choices. Annexation of Judea and Samaria and zero tolerance for Arab terror, for starters.
17. In YOUR Dreams
Dr. Beverly Kurtin ,   Hurst, Texas USA   (11.07.12)
Tonight, the American people thumbed their noses at the Plutocrats. Despite the humongous and indecent amounts of money that they super wealthy threat at the election, the President of the United States won another four years. President Obama shares our dreams, we are not as divided as so many think. The USA dodged a bullet that would have destroyed our Republic, turning it into an Oligarchy run by the least talented people imaginable. Baruch Hashem!
18. victory of the media
(11.07.12)
The 2008 and 2012 elections were nothing about the candidates, only about the perception the media created. In 2012 Obama was not elected on competence or his record, but on the impression the media created that Romney was uncool and stupid. The good news is that now Obama can't blame anyone. If he succeeds, it is all him. If he fails, the American people were forewarned and deserve what they get.
19. Failure to understand the U.S
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (11.07.12)
The country is polarized but there is an American tradition of moving forward despite division. The Congress will work with the President to address major fiscal issues. After the diviseness of the previous four years Obama will have it easier this time.
20. Be careful what you wish for . . .
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (11.07.12)
Obama is NOT a savior and the majority of Americans are tired of war, even if that means allowing Israel to fend for itself. Had Romney won, he would have used an iron fist on Israel's neighbors. Obama won by winning the electoral vote, not the popular vote. 50% of American's believe in Israel and its protection, but Obama calls the shots, not us 50%. I believe the Jewish vote just signed off on allowing Israel to fend for itself.
21. Hope does not rest with man
Andrew ,   Brea, USA   (11.07.12)
Today all America haters should rejoice as the USA takes her place as a second rate, if we're lucky, nation. In hock to China up to our eyeballs, a G-dless nation of hedonistic idolators, we as a people chose the lie. No one wants to do the hard work, everyone just wants thier piece free of charge with no work involved. To my Jewish friends in Israel. G-d bless you and keep you safe because Barry Hussein Obama will not. As the chief America hater in charge, he has lots of work to do to finish us off, first order of business nuclear disarmament. gutting our military, and more apologies to the Muslims. We have only ourselves to blame, I wonder if he'll blame us for his continued failures these next 4 years...
22. the 'worst is yet to come!!
tiki ,   belgium   (11.07.12)
When America will tumble of the fiscal cliff, then the American dreamers, who thought that now it's hard, will have no one to blame but themselves for voting back Obama.
23. Divided: Yes. Disillusioned: No. Reinvograted: Yes.
emanon ,   USA   (11.07.12)
24. #20 tired of war?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (11.07.12)
Thanks to Obama, Egypt is ruled by the Brotherhood and will run out of food in about two months. American allies like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan feel Obama threw them under a bus. Obama did everything he could to earn the distrust of Japan, China and India. Iran views the US as its main rival, is closing in on nuclear capability, supported by Putin who considers Obama a liar. Obama destroyed Libya, releasing unlimited arms for Jihad. Americans may be tired of war, but they just reelected a president who has made war inevitable.
25. Look on the bright side, the sun is shining, Obama did it.
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.07.12)
26. #25 The sky is grey and gloomy over here.
Jake   (11.07.12)
27. #17, The "American people" didn't thumb noses at anyone
Jake   (11.07.12)
Obama barely scraped by in the popular vote. Even in Florida, he only won by a few thousand votes, and they are still counting. His 'big win' is due to the unjust and outdated electoral college system. Obama rules over a house divided. Or maybe that's what he wants. Divide and rule.
28. Black Racism
Hank Roth ,   Morriston   (11.07.12)
When blacks vote in overwhelming numbers, as they have, for someone because he is black, that is racism however most liberals never miss an opportunity to label conservatives racists when they accuse Obama of incompetence.
29. #24 You can thank the Jewish Voters for that.
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (11.08.12)
Obama received 70-75% of the Jewish vote, again.
30. # 28 Liberals never miss....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.08.12)
You are so right. Liberals are quiet when the black person is a Clarence Thomas. They are quiet on sexism when the victim is a Sarah Palin. Last of all they are quiet on diversity when someone has an opinion that doesn't agree with theirs or lives a life that doesn't follow a pattern they have approved of.
