1. Jewish soldiers who served in the Russian army in Finland
snag ,   USA   (11.07.12)
So they sided with the enemy during invasion/annexation and stabbed their hosts in the back just like few other nations that gave them asylum before and after ,...
2. Jews in Finland can wear a kippa...under a baseball cap.
Rivkah   (11.07.12)
Where there is a will, there is a way. That is what Shiks do in America so they won't look like Arabs with a diaper on their heads. They stuff the diaper headress under a baseball cap. Where there is a will, there is a way. It can be done because I have seen it.
3. 1#, learn to read, the Finnish Jews fought the Russians
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (11.07.12)
4. Et tu, Finland?
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (11.07.12)
You were the last bastian of rational thought and behavior. You fought the Soviets, you should fight the Islamic extremists and neo-Nazis, too.
5. so who is attacking, is it Islamists or the neo-nazis?
k ,   US   (11.07.12)
same thing really, sounds like Germany when they decided to kill all their Jews after hundred thousand Jews fought and many of those died for Germany in WW1
6. #1. Read the article again, skag
A ,   Belgium   (11.07.12)
Finland didn't even exist, it was part of czarist Russia which the Russian army overthrew, as the French royal family was overthrown by the French Nationalists. Actually, skag, Jews HELPED Finland secure its independence, and therefore, were given the right to live there. Man, I hope Obama does something about the American educational system, it really is sinking into the pits.
7. Today Finland...soon America
Al   (11.07.12)
The American Jews did it to themselves. Incredible how a supposed bright people have done themselves in. Were it not so sad, it would be hilarious. You simply cant make this stuff up.
8. #7 You also cant make up
A ,   Belgium   (11.07.12)
the fact that that the American standard of education is sinking into an unprecedented low, as demonstrated by your post. I hope Obama invests in the unfortunates who still insist on posting their garbage on Ynet while making a mockery of the English language. You simply can' (punctuation) t make this stuff up.

You do not know what you are talking about. The United States spends more per pupil than almost every country on earth, if not every country. You can triple spending and it will do nothing. The problem is not with the schools, it is with the students and with a left wing educational establishment that refuses to understand that not every student is capable of an academic education and that teachers are already well paid by ordinary US standards. But I am sure Obama will throw more money at the problem anyway.
10. #9 Sorry, Dallas, but
A ,   Belgium   (11.07.12)
I am also a product of that system. However, I refused to let myself be dragged down into the mediocrity shown by some of the people here who consider their mediocrity only natural.TATA!
11. why wear one anyway?
alex ,   greece   (11.08.12)
why would any sane person wear a kippa outside a synagogue anyway? unless of course they are a religious freak wanting to making a statement, and it is those religious freaks who blemish the image of judaism and provoke anti-semitic attacks on us all
12. 6 - Finland didn't even exist,
snag ,   US   (11.08.12)
But the Finns did since the ice age in that part of Scandinavia. They had their own dream of a statehood and not as a part of Russia or Sweden. Your argument proves that they stabbed the Swedes too ,...
13. must be careful
Nehemia ,   Finland   (11.08.12)
I live in a small town in Finland, and recently I have had to think twice before putting on my kippa and tzitzit. It's not safe, not even in smaller places in Finland.

Matthew ,   SoCal, USA   (11.08.12)
As someone who actually lives in Finland, could you describe the threat/hostility towards the Jews in greater detail? Most importantly, I want to know who's mostly behind this stuff - native, ethnic Finns or Arab/Muslim immigrants and their descendants.
15. i don't wear a kippah, but i fight for the right to wear one
martin ,   uk   (11.08.12)
It is notonly a duty to wear a kippah and tallit in the beit knesset, it is aduty to wear all the time. What you consider necessity or otherwise, is unimportant. The right to wear, which does not hinder recognition or sight no danger to anyone, the wearer or others. Now complain about the hijab!
16. To @snag,,
MoNika ,   Finland   (11.08.12)
Have you ever read history and geography in ur american school? You distort the issue,,What ‘invasion/annexation’ you talking about ?..Finland was PART OF Tsarist Russia before October revolution 1917 – it means even Russian jews were FORCED to serve in Russian Tsarist army – forced to serve in Russian army 25 years !- Since it was Russian Tsar who ruled Finland before October 1917 – .. Your attempt to distort the issue wont help you..’’their hosts’’ is racist lies, because Russian jews were born in russia and lived there in many generations.. Read article again (quote) – ‘’..who served in the Russian army in Finland in the mid-19th century, when Finland was an autonomous grand duchy of the CZARIST EMPIRE…’’ ‘Mid of the 19-th century means 1850s – i e long before Finland get independence..
17. Instead of telling Jews what to wear....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.08.12)
It would make more sense to make an example out of anyone who molests a Jew for being Jewish. Why is it that liberals so often go after the victims instead of getting to the root of the problem?

MoNika ,   Finland   (11.08.12)
like your answer to @snag - '' I hope Obama does something about the American educational system, it really is sinking into the pits. ''- Its too sad how LOW americans are educated in history and geography

MoNika ,   Finland   (11.08.12)
why wearing hijab or burqa or nicab is ok but not kippah?.Blaiming the jews for antisemitic attacks is the same disgusting as blaming women of being raped

Jack Mehoff ,   NY NY   (11.08.12)
Alex, I am not a "religious freak" but I do wear a Kippa. It's morons like you that give us Jews a bad name. You are, as they say, Skopeelia!
21. Monika #16-re "Snag the fag"
Froike ,   ny ny   (11.08.12)
I don't think SNAG deserves an intelligent or accurate explanation of Jewish history in Finland. SNAG-This Neo Nazi Retard is using this forum as an opportunity to express his hatred of Jews...nothing you say or do will convince him to like Jews. But, I do thank you for your accurate and true input. It's ironic, but I've read accounts of Jewish Finns fighting along SS Troops against the Russians in WW2....
22. Education in America
Jack Mehoff ,   NY NY   (11.08.12)
Please don't generalize about Americans...I'm sure uneducated ignoramii exist in Belgium and Finland. In fact, I've worked in Belgium several times and can attest to this fact!!
23. 21 - Jewish Finns fighting along SS Troops

No wonder knowing the Bolshevik Jews for their "contribution" to a humanity ;) ,...

Madeleine ,   Israel   (11.08.12)
What a disgusting comment! I am not a religious person at all but I defend the right of any Jew to wear a kippa anywhere he wants. They are not "makign a statement" to be provocative but rather showing their belief, and why not? I think you in Greece should just concentrate on the lousy state of your country and leave Israel and Jews alone. And if you are a Jew, you should be ashamed of such a comment as you made.
25. What are you trying to prove MoNika @ 16 ...
snag ,   US   (11.09.12)
that they allso stabbed the Tsar and Russians in 1917 and the Soviets in 1939 ? - Wow ;) ,...
26. Snag the hatemonger,
MoNika ,   finland   (11.09.12)
Finnish jews were fighting NOT with SS but against Stalin's occupation of Finland -in the FINNISH ARMY..DEFENDING OWN COUNTRY - Finland.. You contradict yourself -in ur previous shit u wrote - jews were a trators of theiur ''host'' country and now u say quite opposite.. And then you write another oxymoron saying that so called ''bolshevik jews' fighted against soviet bolshevism..It seems like they were selfhating ''bolsheviks'..Finnish army was Antibolshevik,,they fight for own independence..its not Jews but finnish Mannerheim's army was allieed with germans AGAINST Soviet invasion'

"Finnish jews were fighting NOT with SS but against Stalin's" - I suggest you address this subject to Froike, as for the rest of your rant, it would be helpful to read my posts more carefully,...

Nehemia ,   Finland   (11.09.12)
The verbal insults come from Arabs and their supporters. But one native Finn one time passed me and spat on me. (He saw my kippa, tzitzit and peyot.) Twice native Finns did "Heil Hitler!" at me. But as for the physical threat, that I'm only expecting from Arab immigrants. I haven't experienced any physical violence, but I don't wear religious, Jewish, objects anymore when I leave my home.
30. Waring a kippah is not halacha
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot   (11.09.12)
If warning a kippah puts you in danger then you should not ware one. The sources for wearing a kippah are found in the Talmud. In tractate Shabbat 156b it states: Cover your head in order that the fear of heaven may be upon you. As well, in tractate Kiddushin 31a it states Rabbi Honah ben Joshua never walked 4 cubits (2 meters) with his head uncovered. He explained: "Because the Divine Presence (Shekhina) is always over my head. " As to the obligation of wearing a yarmulke, halakhic experts agree that it is a custom. The prevailing view among Rabbinical authorities is that this custom has taken on a kind of force of law (Shulkhan Arukh, Orach Chayim 2:6), because it is an act of Kiddush Ha-Shem, "Sanctifying the Holy Name. " From a strictly talmudic point of view, however, the only moment when a Jewish man is required to cover his head is during prayer (Mishne Torah, Ahavah, Hilkhot Tefilah 5:5). I
