I think the article is a very lucid analysis of what the changing American demographics and politics affects Israel. This does not have to be negative but does require Israel to market itself to Americans differently than it has in the past. The kind of comments here saying the US has become a 3rd World country and such do NOT help. They are insulting and will do Israel WAY more harm than good if the vast majority of non-whites who do exercise their right to vote have this idea that Jews in general (and by extension teh State of Israel) is racist - a perception many have already to be quite honest. The common blaming of the US economical problem by the right is baseless and just empty propaganda The US is dealing with problems of its own making namely the rest of the world is becoming capitalist and beating America in its own game. Why? - simple, globalization has opened up large markets worldwide and that is why NASDAQ is at all times high and also why the owners and executives of those US multinationals are the 1 percent while at same time the labor market in the US just can not compete with the lowers wages of the far east. There are some other factors such as technology that is turning some jobs obsolete. But globalization is one of the flags of the GOP and it is serving its supports wall street, and the conglomerates. It has nothing to do with the democrats or liberals. .

America has changed for the worse. It is rile with division and a frayed society that is overly indulgent (FACT: OBESITY IS OUR WORST HEALTH ISSUE) and is embracing a nanny state while will result in its demise. American's, like many past 'empires' have fallen victim to the 'me' mentality which continuously needs major catastrophies in order to pull together somewhat, even if for a moment. But once that moment is gone, so its the unity. And now, as we've seen with hurricane Sandy, you have a culture which exploits such horrors; lying in wait for such to happen so they can pounce on the down trodden to their own benefit. The number of home invasions across the storm affected region is staggering and disgusting but the idealists don't want to talk about it. Look at the Occupy movement with the high number of rapes occurring during their tent city sit-ins. There is a level of self-servitude that has been reached in the US that is disgusting and deplorable. So much so, there are more expats today than at any other time in American history. Only nowadays, expats don't even look back. The US is an empty shell of a thing that has chosen to be devoid of meaning, purpose or value other than to serve the self and cry when things don't go their way. Its a deplorable nation with no direction whatsoever. Even the government abandoned its purpose in order to serve itself. I am completely nauseated by the typical American today. The arrogance, defensiveness, ignorance and lack of purpose fills the air with the stench of the walking dead. And this is putting it mildly and from a very generous perspective. Can't stand what America has become. Its a cesspool.

Our economic problems started with the crreation of the Federal Reserve Bank and our currency no longer being based on gold or silver. There is nothing solid now to keep us from inflation. That is why we can not compete anymore and our jobs go overseas. That is neither a Republican or a Democrat problem.

They are so much in debt that it is IMPOSSIBLE for them to pay it back without DEFAULTING or HYPERINFLATION. It is only a question of time before the dollar collapses at which point the proportion of Americans on food stamps will go from 15% to 60%.
