Turkey is not the one doing business with Israel. Boeing agreed to produce 4 (+2 option) B-737 MESA AWA&CS for the Turkish Air Force. Boeing uses an electronic part from ELTA, Israel. The Israeli government refused to sell to Boeing the said part after becoming aware that it will be used in the Turkish Peace Eagle AWA&C's program. ELTA sold the same units to Boeing which were used in the Australian and Korean B-737-MESA AWA&CS. Turkey threatened to cancel the contract with Boeing. Boeing pressured Israel via the White House as it was faced with a $6 billion compensation claim from Turkey. Israel gave in to US pressure after Obama was re-elected. Dirty politics at play.
