1. Segal's opinions
Michael ,   Haifa   (11.10.12)
You and Netanyahu are very miniscule in Obama's plans. He couldn't care less what either of you think. He now has his own agenda for the next two years.
2. That is right.
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (11.10.12)
I have liked the text. Obama's reelection does not mean any harm to Israel's sovereignty. Beyond not being the Jewish State a "banana republic", American Democracy, through "checks and balances" among the powers, does not allow such presidencial attitudes without serious congressional debates. Jerusalem, your eternal Capital, must be united forever. But, into a honoured peace's agreement, its Arab districts, or quarters, could be relatively autonomous. What do you think about it?
3. Obama "revenge is a dish best served cold" Sorry to break
James R   (11.10.12)
your bubble. israel is viewed as mill-stone around our neck and one that interferes in US internal bussiness.
4. Wolf in Sheep's Clothing...Israel watch out
Stipa1 ,   Corvallis USA   (11.10.12)
Wolf in Sheep's Clothing...Israel watch out
5. No reason to panic
Harold ,   USA   (11.10.12)
We will wait and see.
6. Don't panic??
Belinda ,   Texas, US   (11.10.12)
Is this anything like omurderer "will not usurp the US constitution & the 2nd amendment by signing a treaty banning weapons of any kind"? Wow! I just totally believe all this crap. He's murderer, liar, treasonous piece of human garbage!
7. So we are all now agreed
Sarah B   (11.10.12)
Netanyahu risked the longterm future of Israel for short term personal political gain? We will see what Obama proposes, and more importantly wwhen he proposes it. It is by no means certain that Netanyahu will remain Prime Minister of Israel after the elections. Some of us remember Yitzhak Shamir
8. What?
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (11.10.12)
No mention of Adelson and his contribution to the Romney campaign, after bankrolling Netanyahu's election as Prime Minister? Nobody thinks this is going to affect the Prime Minister's relationship with Obama? This niavety is what ics causing the problem in the first place. Netanyahu has some fast talking to do, even then it is not clear if Obama will listen, and that is IF Netanyah is re-elected as Prime Minister of Israel. Definite sense of panic coming from Netanyahu's office, coupled with damage limitation exercises from Lieberman and Steinitz. The spectre of Yitzhak Rabin is looming large.
9. obama said 4 yesra ago before the elections
(11.10.12)
JERUSALEM IS THE CAPITAL OF THE JEWISH STATE AND IT MUST REMAIN UNDIVIDED. THIS IS WHAT OBAMA SAID AND HE GOT THE JEWISH VOTES ! WE WILL NOT GIVE A CENTIMETER OF JERUSALEM TO ANYBODY THIS MUST BE CLEAR TO THE WORLD! THANK YOU & SHABBAT SHALOM
10. bibi and canada
maz hess ,   switzerland   (11.10.12)
If there is an example who obama treats his enemies, then canada serves as a good example. their prime minister spoiled obama an early win in his fight during the primaries against hillary. The prime minister pays now the price with obama stopping canadas oil piplines. israel is fighting with turkey now for the gaz in the meditaren see. obama will take the opportunity the heart bibi very very very personally.
11. #2
JustMe ,   Israel   (11.10.12)
Every issue can be settled in the fairest way possible once the perpetual war against Israel ends. The problem is that many in the West (and even some in Israel) think that giving concessions will bring peace, but they don't understand it doesn't work this way.
12. Too logical
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.10.12)
Unfortunately, as Jews have seen in our history, anti-Semites do not act rationally. Don't forget Obama was raised in an atmosphere of Jew-hatred, surrounds himself with people who believe Jihadists are redeemable, but believe settlers are 'sons of satan'. Don't underestimate the spiritual depravity of a religious, secular, or political anti-Semite.
13. do any Israelis have sense
Graczek ,   Maryland   (11.10.12)
why is it that all of us anti-israel people know that Obama does not want Israel in existence? Obama is a protege of Edward Said, he studied with him. you guys should look hard into a mirror, and maybe do some due diligence. everyone in my circles knows who Obama has hung out with his whole life. it's so funny to see Jews vote for him and some to think Obama likes Israel. keep believing what you want, Obama has always been a supporter of Muslims and the Palestinians. America has finally woke up, and Obama will lead us on the path to connecting with the Muslim world. forthis writer to say he won't let personal interests ruin the relationship, umm he knows it's in America's interest to abandon Israel and give military support to the Palestinians. watch and see, Obama will back the Palestinian bid in 2 weeks at the UN. and ill post "told you so".
14. Israeli concern
Stan ,   USA   (11.10.12)
I suspect it is because of the corruption in Israeli politics that backing an opponent would get you black listed or mistreated by the dominant party you didn't support. In America, we are not tied down to party loyalty, we care about the integrity of the person. No one would have cared if Netanyahu himself donated money to Romney, it doesn't speak to his relationship with Obama.
15. Hilarious
Intedi Nensak ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (11.10.12)
Do you honestly think that highly of yourselves that you believe you're "needed" in any possible way by anyone? Israel is nothing but a constant burden and you should count yourselves lucky they still put up with you, it's not like you're even grateful to your one and only ally when they come to your rescue time and time again. Israel is sort of like France in many ways, it thinks its way more powerful than it really is and it constantly bite the hand that feeds it.

Alex   (11.10.12)
You're so full of bs. Rightst and leftist extremists have one thing in common, they both think Obama hates Israel.Oy vey...
17. American Jews rejected Israel
Jake Singer ,   NYC / USA   (11.10.12)
If you haven't noticed the figures, it wasn't Obama that acted against Israel's right wing government it was American Jews who overwhelming voted for Obama! There is such a disconnect between Israeli Politicians and American jews. American Jews continue to distance themselves from ultra-nationalism and what they feel are the fringe racist elements of Judaism. Jews are choosing humanity over nationalism!
18. Bibi should tell Obama to give NY back to the Indians.......
Tom ,   USA   (11.10.12)
and return Texas and California to Mexico. The US has NO ROOM to tell Bibi anything.
19. #17 jake R U stupid or something
jerome ,   basalt, colorado   (11.10.12)
your speaking for yourself, not for many of American Jews.
20. More pressing issues
Anshel ,   Canada   (11.10.12)
Obama has more pressing issues to worry. The fiscal cliff is biggest threat America is facing right now. Hillary is gone, it will take months before new Secretary of State get his/her feet wet. Benghazi-gate is not over yet. In the meantime, Israelis will go to the polls and if Netanyahu manages to secure a fairly strong mandate, Obama will have to accept it and conduct himself accordingly. After all, most of the 70% Jews who voted for Obama, are not going to abandon Israel overnight if push comes to shove.
21. When taking into account prevailing antisemitic tradition
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.10.12)
of the majority of Western civilisation, how long do you think it will take for Obama to saw the seeds of "Israel is hurting US' economy" Bull S*** before various groups within the Congress will start thinking: "maybe?" ! Stuff like that is the essence of any suave Spin Doctor's raison d'etre!!! So much for "Checks& Balances". MANIPULATION is the name of the game in politics.. the rest is up to us, the gullible believers in "Democratic Process". We'll do the Devil's bidding with clear conscience.
22. #13 Graczek
Madeleine ,   Israel   (11.10.12)
You are a filthy anti-Semite who comes on these pages soley to spew your hatred of Israel in particular and Jews in general. You think that because all you anti-israel people "know that Obama does not want Israel in existence" is going to make us tremble? You are one sick piece of garbage and should rally go and join your Moslem brothers. Personally, I, andI am sure many other talkbackers, wouldlove to see you banned from posting anywhere on Ynet.
23. #17
Jeff ,   USA   (11.10.12)
American Jews will never reject Israel... as of now we're rejecting Netanyahu, Lieberman, and the settlers that along with Palestinian terrorism and intransigence we believe are totally screwing up any chance for Israel to ever be able to live in peace. Unless I'm mistaken, roughly half of Israel that's anywhere to the left of Likud agrees with us but I guess we're all just "self-hating Jews," right?
24. No ally anymore
nelly ,   israel   (11.10.12)
Since Obama in office there is no alliance anymore - just an optical illusion. We have only one ally -American conservatives who also suffers under Obama-Soros regime. The good thing that Obama has two many problems now, and under his rule America is not a superpower anymore.
25. Obama UNSC '67 borders coming to Jews near you
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (11.10.12)
26. #20 The republicans
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (11.10.12)
will also want to avoid the fiscal cliff as well One thing that is universal about the modern politician, if they think their collective jobs are on the line they will come to an agereement.
27. We do not need the Husseinish One
Jason ,   raananna   (11.10.12)
Our economy is in better shape than theirs. Stop the $3 billion annual bribe so Hussein can give it to his friends in Goldman Sachs.
28. Oh nonsense, #24
Cameron ,   USA   (11.10.12)
But this Obama moment does signal that the era of automatic, carte blanche US approval for Israeli actions in the ME have come to a true end. US aid & backing will continue, but from now on, rather conditional. That is the way of it.
29. #9 Obama said....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (11.10.12)
After being elected to the senate he said he was born in Kenya and a Muslim. When running for president he said he was born in Hawaii and a Christian. Put no faith in Obama. Israel should never yield land to anybody, never divide Jerusalem, and never trust Obama.
30. # 22
Birdi ,   Israel   (11.10.12)
Madeleine, I agree with every single word in your post. Please do not let gracie get to you, he is not worth it. Kudos to you & have a great week.
