7. Copy of E Mail sent to BBC today
Tim ,   Brighton   (11.12.12)
For the Attention of the BBC Director General Coverage of Gaza Israel Copy Circulated to Media Dear Sirs Please may I draw your attention to another example of skewed and distorted reporting relating to Israel Palestine by the BBC on the Internet All we want is fair, factually accurate and unbiased reporting...wether favourable OR unfavourable to Israel In this instance the story covered was about the barrage of an estimated 100 rockets indiscriminately launched into Israel causing injury and destruction to property which was met with a retaliation by Israel that killed 6 Palestinians. Wether they were Militants or Civilains the BBC omitted or failed to corroborate But the main concern is over the Headline which reads 'Six killed as Gaza clashes flare' Does that not imply by the headline that Israel killed 6 innocents without any provocation? Why could the Headline not read 'Israel retaliation to barrage of 100 rockets attacks kills 6 in Gaza'? What is it? Unprofessionalism, lack of care or a deep insiduous Anti Jewish and Anti Zionist agenda by a few faceless people inside the BBC?
8. #4. What do you reckon of this recent interview?
Tim ,   Brighton   (11.12.12)
Apparently in an interview with a Gulf Newspaper on Tunnel Smuggling one of the Tunnel Millionaires was said to have said 'If the sanctions are lifted then my whole business and that of so many people will be destroyed Thats why we have to make sure that we continue with rocket attacks so that the blockade continues for ever..Inshallah!'
9. Our government is wet chicken!
Jew1 ,   Ashdod   (11.12.12)
No one cares about south. When the rockets will hit the sky scappers in Tel-Aviv and rich in Ceasaria and our capital Jerusalem, then our government will wake up. Because then they themselves and their dear ones will be in line. We are second class people for them. Who cares for us? Atleast do the complete closre of Aza. Stop aid, electricity, medicine, food for unlimited time. Catch their balls and make them kneel. Israel has this capacity if our government wants to put end to this situation. This does not depends upon Hamas but on us when to end it.

Labor. Meretz. Kadima. Peres. Rabin. Sharon. Olmerd. Livni. Barak. They gave Fatah and Hamas the territory and rockets. And if you live in the center? Remember what Sharon said: The fate of Netzarim will be the fate of Tel Aviv.

13. to #7..
Joe ,   London, UK   (11.12.12)
Tim, It's a great piece but as you know, the BBC don't currently have a Director General. And the person they have installed is an irrelevant piece of work and has considerably much more on his plate than to worry about the current and forever on going anti Israel bias that has existed and will continue. Great letter, though!

Wouldn't matter if the missiles were hitting the Knesset. I think you will find that the members of the Knesset families are spread all over the world, with the largest number currently in London. Not a new phenomenon either, in the 80's I went to school with Yitzhak Rabin's nephews.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.12.12)
Would you care to put your level of English up against mine? I'll win that one. Easily. You missed a very obvious need for a comma in a one-sentence post. Tsk, tsk!
17. Curious
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.12.12)
"The sources said that Israel reportedly agreed not to retaliate over sporadic rocket fire from Gaza, as long as it was sans casualties. No Israeli source has corroborated the report." There has been property damage, however. Is the Israeli government going to cover the costs of repair? But the whole mess could easily be averted. Just reduce Gaza to rubble. That will send the proper message -- not just to Gaza, but to the international community as well. I defy anyone to name a single country that would tolerate missiles fired at their civilian population the way Israel has tolerated such an outrage. Just one.
18. Are you kidding me
eliwap ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (11.12.12)
Of course Israel will be attacked in the International arena. It already is. The way to end this is to end this. Get the #$%ing bastards. Once and for all.

21. To: No. 19
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.12.12)
I seem to recall that Turkey responded quite harshly to a violation of its sovereignty by Syria. Why should Israel react any differently to the constant violations of its sovereignty stemming from Gaza? Or is it "do as I say, not as I do?" Rather hypocritical, wouldn't you say?
22. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.12.12)
Yitzhak Rabin's nephews? No, no great surprise there. I guess he hedged his bets -- he had rather large bank and investment accounts in the United States, quite in contravention of Israeli law. Some "hero," Rabin, eh?
23. We need to replace bibi and ehud buraq!
jason white ,   afula, israel   (11.12.12)
A five year old kid could do a better job as d.m. than that little gas bag. The cost of all the repairs should come from the pockets of bibi and buraq. Whyis gaza still standing? It should have been destroyed years ago along with its population. Why do we let the egyptians dictate cease fires for us? They are the enemy!
24. TENNIS ANYONE?
David ,   New York, NY   (11.12.12)
Thirty love Gaza, your serve. Some policy, some governance! To a significant degree, the Southern region is the nation's "Czechoslovakia." It has to be sacrificied in the in the misbegotten and disastrous miscalculation that this will prevent a far worse situation. The policy worked out well 70 years ago, no reason why it won't work out well this time as well.
25. #21 'Sarah B'
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (11.12.12)
I seem to recall you saying that if Israel came under attack you would be on the first plane to israel to defend the country. The fact is Netanyahu isn't going to invade Gaza, the Gazans said you stop bombing we will stop the missile attacks. Egypt brokered the deal. It really isn't rocket science
26. #17 'Sarah B'
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (11.12.12)
Yes see that is your problem. You are proposing a war crime, and there is no way that the current government of Israel would support that. OK maybe Lieberman, and his fellow Kach supporters who has in the past proposed nuking Gaza
27. #10
Joanne ,   Israel   (11.12.12)
the real sadness here, is with such a serious matter at hand, you find critisizing someones english a point to focus on!!!
28. take back Gaza
Gavriel ,   Budapest, HU   (11.12.12)
There is only ONE option left to stop rockets: Israel must get Gaza back, and lead all there. No more options left, beleive me...
29. Rabin would have used all out force
Dan Kelso   (11.12.12)
The ironic thing is Rabin was much more right wing then Netanyahu. Google Rabin's last Knesset speech. We know Rabin used all out force against Hizbollah in 94. There is no doubt Rabin would have bombed Gaza hard, in response to 140 missles behind fired at Israel. Netanyahu and Barak just bombs empty fields.
30. To: No. 25
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.12.12)
Your recollection is spot-on. If we are not in Israel at the time, we will be on the first flight out, even if we have to charter a plane. Stay away from rocket science, dear. You're still at the Dr. Seuss stage -- and not likely to graduate to anything more advance at any time soon.
