31. To No. 22
Bertram ,   London, UK   (11.12.12)
Bibi never did anything outside political norms? You might be right; he leaves that to his underlings such as Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon and his insult to Turkey in 2010.
32. Wow! Such delusions...
esse ,   --   (11.12.12)
...from the usual suspects. OF COURSE there will be blowback from Netanyahu's meddling in the US elections. Obama will simply bide his time and do it when he sees fit. Perhaps when the Palestinians bring their annual vote to the UN seeking an ungrade in status. All the US has to do is abstain. That's right, the US needn't take any direct action against Israel, all the US needs to do is do nothing. Or perhaps the US will simply choose not to fight as hard as they have behind the scenes to stop the Palestinians from seeking a vote. There are countless things the US can (and will) do. And whose fault is it? It's ours. We've consistently shown a lack of appreciation to the only nation that has consistently had our back these past few decades (just read the above talkbacks for confirmation on this.) Why are we such an unappreciative bunch? That should be the topic of the next ynet editorial because it is what will ultimately doom us.
33. friedman, kurtzer, ross
tolson   (11.12.12)
all 3 of these well educated academics suffer the arrogance and limitations of narrow focus as well as lack the on the ground reality of the middle east. Liberman is worth 2 divisions and means what he says unlike most politicians. Friedman is lucky his wife has lots of money. His theories are worthless.
34. Obama won't have time?
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (11.12.12)
His loyal minions will have!
35. No.10 - Kol Hacavod !
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (11.12.12)
An excellent post, Jason ! I couldn't agree more with every word you have written in reply to this low life ...
36. President has enough problems with Congress
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (11.12.12)
If he does anything beyond personal distance, he'll get blowback from both sides of Congress dems and reps
37. First Term Obama was BUSY
Rozie   (11.12.12)
trying to get re-elected. He did NOTHING for USA and just lots of damage for the entire world. Now he will be busy fixing the problems that he should have fixed in his first term.
38. #15 :-))
mark ,   ca   (11.12.12)
You are a Republican? And I'm a ballerina. p.s. And if you woted for bo, you are among 51% of imbeciles.
39. # 32...you've got that right...TATA
(11.12.12)
40. Friedman
Paul ,   Orlando, FL USA   (11.12.12)
Friedman won't pay the price of any of Obama's foilly. My prez is busy? FDR was busy as Adolf was deporting Jews. What a shallow, callous remark.
41. Obama is busy bankrupting America.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.12.12)
Obama will use his second term to complete his first term work. Bankrupting America. Wonder how many Americans will be on food stamps and welfare at the end of Obama's second term. Unless America wises up and impeaches him.
42. #10 - Jason White
Devorah   (11.12.12)
Nothing will happen regarding F&F, not as long as Eric Holder is AG. Regarding Benghazi, former Ambassador, Thomas Pickering, is the lead investigator. Google his name in connection with Hamas, with the MB and with the International Crisis Group (ICG). ICG is George Soros' baby, and his "Responsibility to Protect" doctrine is what justified the NATO attack on Libya. I expect the Benghazi hearings to go the way of F&F -- into the dust bin along with as many useful idiots as necessary in order to keep Obama looking squeaky clean. And I respectfully disagree with you regarding Obama and Israel. I suspect her destruction is paramount on Obama's to-do list. Obama has not been been obsessively hyper-active and causing chaos and mayhem in the ME just to drop it out of domestic concerns other than to play CYA.
43. 20 - Would Warrant Attention
Mark of Lewiston ,   USA   (11.12.12)
If an attack on the US were arranged, then negative attention would be warranted for Netanyahu but not on ISRAEL For 22 - Not taking calls is enough --too busy.
44. US media already confirmed there was no "intereference"
Jake   (11.12.12)
from Bibi in the US elections. He said not a word in public about which candidate he preferred. His preference for Romney was only a widely held assumption. No surprise, given that most Israelis preferred Romney. But that doesn't constitute interference.
45. #15, Come up with proof for your statement.
Jake   (11.12.12)
You, like all others who accused Netanyahu of "intereference in the US, are unable to come up with any hard evidence to support that mantra. Netanyahu never made a SINGLE public comment indicating a preference for one candidate or the other. The US media has confirmed this. Your statement is, quite simply, A LIE.
46. #18, James from Ohio
Jake   (11.12.12)
ABC News ran a post-election article, in which it confirmed that although it is a widely-held assumption that Netanyahu preferred Romney to win, he never made a single comment indicating a preference. The accusation that he did is, in fact, slander.
47. no 15
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (11.12.12)
Yours is the most unsubstantiated, filled with "thin air" collection of words, ever posted on this board... You are so pathetic, "James" ? wink, wink... Republican ? Who are trying to humor here ?
48. To: No. 43
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.13.12)
And when Israel pre-emptively attacks Iran without having notified the United States in advance -- catching Obama with his trousers down around his ankles -- I suspect that Prime Minister Netanyahu will be far too busy to take a call from Hussein Obama. Think two can't blame this game? Think again. Keep in mind that Obama is a rank amateur. A "community organizer" with only a thin veneer separating him from the likes of Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright and Al Sharpton. Really thin veneer.
49. James
Justin ,   USA   (11.13.12)
Before the elections our President was mocked and ridiculed. All Netanyahu could care about was his ego and himself. Obama is the President of the USA and his prorities should firstly be at home and those who ignored him should be ignored.
50. #41
Dave ,   CA USA   (11.13.12)
Obama is not bankrupting the USA. Looking after a small state in the middle east and having to back them up every time they pick a fight is bankrupting the USA.
51. To: No. 50
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.13.12)
Yes, I suppose it is much more rewarding to pour billions of dollars into Pakistan -- the country that shielded bin Laden -- and Egypt -- the country that could not or would not protect the United States Embassy from being attacked and that tolerates routine public displays of burning the flag of the United States of America. I suppose it is equally rewarding to provide Saudi Arabia with billions in military hardware and to park the entire United States Fifth Fleet in the Gulf just so that the Saudis can express their thanks by reducing production and jacking up the price of light crude. How about the billions that the United States pours into Jordan? Iraq? Russia? Kazakhstan? Uzbekistan? Tajikistan? Rewarding to the American taxpayer exactly how, pray tell? And I haven't even touched upon Latin America, Central America and that bottomless pit of need -- Africa. You're a fool. An ignorant one, at that.
52. #51
Dave   (11.13.12)
All the others stayed out of our elections and they do not act like a super power because the USA has their back. Stop seeing the need of people as countries and see the people for a change. If its not of the chosen and there is no benefit to you, then you see everyone else as something beneath you. "Prejudice is the child of ignorance."
53. #50 The reality appers to be otherwise.
Jake   (11.13.12)
Far from being warmongers, Israel has displayed nerves of steel and avoided escalation into war, despite the rocket bombardments from Gaza and even mortar fire from Syria. I wonder if we can say the same thing about US, UK, and France in Libya, which went to war to topple Qaddafi AFTER they had already rehabilitated him.
54. #52, Israel did not interfere in the US elections
Jake   (11.13.12)
Sorry, but you're ...uhhhh....lying again. There was no interference from Israel in the American election, and the American media has confirmed that despite allegations of having a preference, Netanyahu never made any comments in public about which candidate he preferred. That conspiracy theory has crashed burned. In the meantime, you have failed to address the point that Sarah raised...that Pakistan, despite receiving even more money per annum than Israel...sheltered Bin Laden. It also sentenced the doctor who assisted the US in tracking down Bin Laden, to 33 years in prison. The fact that you see a bigger problem with Israel than in the long list of antagonist anti-American countries receiving aid from the US, speaks volumes about your ugly anti-Israel bias.
55. #49 Your President was crowned by the media
Jake   (11.13.12)
Don't complain.
56. Israel, like Sarah are irrelevant...They're a dying breed of

58. Not that attertion deprived/seeker Friedman again...........

59. # 57...Just keeping an eye on the lunatics.....

Harry Light ,   USA   (11.14.12)
This year’s campaign pointed to a new demographic as well as a new financial reality for American Jews. First, Jewish voters make a difference at the presidential level only in a few swing states where there is a sizeable Jewish population. In Florida and Ohio, exit polls indicated that Mitt Romney received only the same 30-31 percent of the Jewish vote that he received nationally, suggesting that the intensive Republican campaign for Jewish votes in these swing states did not push the needle at all.
