what you are all fighting about is standard procedure in any airport try leaving with a weapon like that from israel not only would you be detained you would most likely be blacklisted. a baton is a weapon !!!! its a striking weapon!!!! its made to club people and all weapons are not allowed anywhere near airports. its the pilots own stupidity
try leaving with box cutters see if you can board the plane even if its in your luggage and not carry on
the pilot deserves this for not using his brain and he deserves whatever punishment the authorities give him

B-G airport. I had two 9 mm cartridges in my fanny pack. I told the two security people that I did a shooting course a couple of months before. They said I could not take the cartridges onboard and let me go.
No idiot/thief like those in the t.s.a. would do that.They would arrest me and steal things from my baggage while I waited for my lawyer to come.
