1. Hamas schalit
IRV ,   USA   (11.14.12)
The time is NOW! Wake up Jews this is a war forevever. Treat it that way. No matter what Israel does in the eyes of Hamas they believe we should ALL be dead! Why does Israel strike these known military locations after we are attacked? Why not continuously cripple their war machine? Answer that please.
2. Gates of Hell
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (11.14.12)
'the occupation has opened the gates of hell'? Should that have been 'the assassination has opened the gates of Hell'? Did Hamas think they could go on firing rockets into South Israel with impunity? Better to target one top terrorist than risk killing many civilians.
3. shame about the car
Haim ,   TA   (11.14.12)
4.  no choice but to establish a line of communication with Ham
rebecca ,   Modiin   (11.14.12)
Mr Shalit wants us to " establish a line of communication with Hamas" . I think we finally did that. Hope they got the message loud and clear. It seems force is the only thing they listen to.
5. #1 and others NOT in Israel!
Dee Bee ,   Israel   (11.14.12)
Please do NOT say "we"! You are not here WE are. We face the danger of Hamas and their friends supported by the YOUR Governments that appease them! Due to the betrayal of Mubarak by Obama Israel is now in more danger than we have been since Camp David and Bush and Blair failed to force the UN to stop Hezbollah from rearming and the supply Hamas with all they need! We trusted the USA and we got a kick in the butt! Thank you USA, UK and EU for endangering the lives of every Israeli because of your fear of a Muslim reprisal which, in the true Muslim way, will be with violence!
6. Time for Noam Shalit to shut up!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (11.14.12)
We are tired of his narcissism and his reveling in publicity even when his son was in captivity. Gilad, time for you to stand up and speak your own mind! We Israelis supported you and feared for your life. Now is the time for you to tell your story to the world that sympathizes with the terrorists and to show the world the face of the Israeli soldier who was worth more than 1000 barbarians!
7. Agreed #3 its total loss!!!
Arlene ,   Israel   (11.14.12)
8. #5 Dee Bee
DavidR ,   USA   (11.15.12)
First, I want to say that I fully appreciate your point of view and understand why you have it. However, There are many like myself that are Jew at heart, Israeli at heart and would love to be there if it were possible. For me it isn't. I suffer the same broken heart and anger whenever Israel is touched by her enemies. If I were not an elderly 100% disabled, financially strapped person I would be there if I had to swim and the first thing I would do is enlist in the IDF. Just as when I speak of my blood brothers and sisters in my immediate family using the word "we" as family, kindly allow me to use the word "we" when I speak of my Jewish brothers in Eretz Israel.
9. nice car - how'd that get into Gaza?
deb ,   usa   (11.15.12)
10. Gilad Shalit should . . .
Bill ,   New York, USA   (11.15.12)
Actually Gilad Shalit should focus on getting his life back together, which is probably his focus and not easy. His feelings may be complex, since he lived through it and who can know what that was like in his head. So let's all cool it on saying that Gilad Shalit should say this or do that. That is the best, classic Jewish affirmation of life. L'chaim.
11. #8 deb some haji who lives in Dearborn Michigan
(11.15.12)
Shipped it to him. Every haji and his brother has his auto dealer's license whether sell vehicles or not! All their Gochba's don't pay insurance they use dealer plates!
12. Gilad Shalit shouldn't waste one more minute of his life
me ,   here   (11.15.12)
thinking about Hamas, its leaders nor his captivity. They are not worth it! Go on and live your life, Gilad! You are worth it!!!
13. Deestruction of water and power plants should be next.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.15.12)
14. family shalit

15. @ number 9
Linda ,   Israel   (11.15.12)
I was just thinking the same thing. Nice car and the rest of their supporting people living in poverty.
16. the car now a total loss was collateral damage!
(11.15.12)
17. noam
frank ,   rehovot   (11.15.12)
now it is very clear you are using your son as a political tool. You not only should be ashamed of yourself, but you should be a little grateful to a country that sacrificed much to free your son. It was our duty to do so, but we have and will suffer more because of it. shut up! go away, you have nothing, and I mean NOTHING to offer the country. You may have something to offer your son, go and do just that and leave the country out of your personal profit.
18. Noam
Leon ,   Grand Rapids USA   (11.15.12)
I agree with those who have asked him to shut up, but I'd also like to add that the media should stop quoting him and giving him a platform for his irrelevant opinions.
19. #14 - #17 - #18
Avinoam   (11.17.12)
Who are you to tell NOam Shalit how to speak and what to say ?? The whole country wanted Gilad back, not only the 3 of you. This fact does not give you any right. #17 You go and leave the country... Tell me what you have done for israel Frankie?? Go back to where you came from. Noam Shalit does not have to kiss anybody's ass. The army sent Gilad to serve, the army had the responsibility to return him to his family. #14, where you with Gilad when he fell asleep?? Bunch of pathetic talkbackers. And leon, my best regards to Grand Rapids and mind your american business.
20. Destroy terror groups send in PA
bob k ,   orlando us   (11.18.12)
INoam Shalit does not consider the possibility of the PA returning to Gaza. If the terror groups are sufficiently weakened and the Gaza public want a better life then a stronger PA could return and take control. It would need internatipnal help but would that happen?
