Its obvious that someone is pulling the strings on Israel's retaliation. Rather than emulating the US/Britain and carpet bomb Gaza, to force a surrender, Israel is painstakingly hitting select targets, launching sites, terrorist teams, tunnels,underground arsenals and occasionally an admin bldg. It could level entire Pales towns and cities...and resort to assads tactics..forcing thousands to flee into Egypt, etc. It could use snipers and marksmen to kill anyone who moves. Yes, it has the advantage..tanks planes, etc., but who started this latest flare-up? Hamas is delusional..really in denial about their power and authority. But Israel needs an end game, not just anoher cease fire, which is valueless. (Abbas at the UN for a state abrogating UN242 and Oslo 1) proves their integrity. Its all about winning..and Israel still doesnt get. it. Why talk to Hamas through Egypt. Destroy Hamas, then TALK ABOUT THE CONDITONS. HAMAS realizes that it cannot defeat the IDF, when Israel is serious. Soo, cease fire, stopping the warfare, and allowing Hamas to recuperate and rearm..are their goals after each major IDF incursion. With the network of hate Israel media and countries..they still see the light at the end of their tunnel, Israel's destruction. Israel should simply warn Egypt that it fully expects the treaty to continue..or else it will act in its own interests ( to include taking back the oil fields in the Sinai, stationing tanks along theCanal, etc.). Israel still is blinded by its own naivety. The Muslim doesnt want Israel to exist, and repeat that again and again. Israel is not listening..its people getting tired, of the internal and external protests, shifting govts, bending tot thewillsofothers, and Orthodox moochers. But for what its worth, the eye must be on Iran, the real threat to its existence. Hams/Hez are irritants and can cause harm..but Iran is the real bad actor in the group.To that extent, no matter howmany nukes Isarael has, its insufficient. Its MAD, but that is how Iran wants it.

Let them live their lives, but dont allow arms smuggling, flotillas and Iranian meddling. Hamas.Hez are the weak links of Iran..but Israel seems not aware. A division (armor) would impede any Egyptian threat, end the smuggling, thwart any flotillas, and createa biffer adjacent to Israel's border. W/P Hams, Hez is weakened. W/o Hamas/Hez, Iran has fewer choices. In fact, having nukes, puts it in a worse situation, considering Israel is 50 years ahead. 30m Iranians will be casualties in 6 weeks according to a retired US generals report to Congress. Israel's defenses must also be improved..with no missiles able to penetrate its airspace. Iran's threats to the USA are outrageous. A few B1s can stop that quickly. and dozens of countries will keep the Straits open. Again, Hamas is the key.
