1. Wrong Tagline
Ross Gallen ,   Henderson, USA   (11.17.12)
The government message should be "We will not tolerate rocket fire from Hamas." who care what other countries would or would not tolerate.the message to the Iranian proxies has to be clear and unequivocal.
2.  Netanyahu's words needs to be repeated
Galut ia ,   selah   (11.17.12)
no country in the world would tolerate a situation where its people live under a constant rocket threat. in other countries there would have been a ground action and the insurgents Rooted out....and the outside world would have been told to mind their own business ...
3. G-d bless Israel and people there!!

4. wait a bit of time and
observer ,   Egypt   (11.17.12)
Tal Russo says terror come from Egypt, not from Gaza.
5. Determined Path, not Cast Lead
Bill ,   New York, USA   (11.17.12)
The IDF spokesperson had it right. This has to be done in a prolonged way. The problem with operations like Cast Lead that resolve to solve matters once and for all is that they create pressure to be finished. Something like that happened even with the successful Operation Defensive Shield. What is not remembered is that after Operation Defense Shield ended, there was a prolonged operation, Determined Path, in which the world got used to Israel operating in Area A, and the one thing the media cannot stand is a story that ceases to be new. So priming the world for long-term Israeli operations in Gaza is better than a world primed for missiles over Beersheva and Tel Aviv. So get on with it and let the message go out that this will be business as usual.
6. Wouldn't it make sense
Kalman ,   PT   (11.17.12)
The terrorists are hiding among civilians, schools, hospitals and firing from there. Can't Israel send fliers for everyone to leave those buildings within an hour or so and then level those buildings containing rockets?
7. keep applying pressure
moalem   (11.17.12)
selectively bomb, degrade right into the heart of haniyeh and turn gazans against him and the filth of hamas, the godless killers of moslems who throw moslems off the roofs of highrises. Use surprise methods that will frighten gazans. Who is the hamas policeman in front of your house. keep going. hamas I implore you to keep firing at jerusalem and tel aviv and haifa, keep firing so that israel can keep justifying its actions. Of course kameinei is behind all of this and his operatives are in gaza supervising the firing.
8. #6
the mad Zionist ,   sf-ny-is   (11.17.12)
just like hezballah, hamas won't allow the civilians to leave, either by talking them into staying or threatening them. Jake
9. #6. that is EXACTLY what was done and what is ALWAYS done.
ari   (11.17.12)
Problem is no news agency reports that. fliers where dropped on Thursday telling palestinians to stay away from Hamas.

PaulS ,   Liverpool, UK   (11.17.12)
Terror has been coming from Egypt for months already along the Sinai border. Egypt either has no control over them or not the will to control them.
12. #6, they have sent flyers, but it doesnt
Meghan ,   Ashdod Israel   (11.17.12)
help, because the Hamas are inhumane and want the people to die. I for one am fed up having to spend all day near shelter, but at least I have that, those in Gaza dont, and with Hamas they never will. Hamas are war criminals, nothing less. We are strong and we trust our IDF, G-d bless them all.
13. Poor Israel
Darshi ,   Arab   (11.17.12)
You cannot go in to gaza, what you can do with the strong hezbollah ? ha ha ha
14. I think that this thing actually, should not end.
Jonathan   (11.18.12)
We have already seen what's happening when Gaza is disengaged. Even the world understands it, so let's not come up with excuses. Slowly, but surely, this stuff, even if it takes 3 months, is cool. We don't need the whole army 'enlisted'. But a missile for a missile, is a good start. And I honestly don't care where the missile is flying out from... a missile is out, flyers are sent out. A few hours later, the neighborhood is flat. Next: a missile is out, flyers to evacuate the place are sent over, and the neighborhood is flat. Then we'll see, who let's Hamas shoot missiles from his garden.
15. # 14 Jonathan
Danny ,   earth   (11.18.12)
I complitly agree with you, this is the only way this terrorist understand. How many millions dollars have been burned, only to destroy and kill. and people taken as human sield to cover the brave warriors when they came out from hidding.
16. #13 Go ask Nasrallah
Zanab ,   US   (11.18.12)
If you can find him. Look for a big tunnel wide enough for an obese terrorist and a wide screen TV.
17. Honestly, I think that
Elizabeth   (11.18.12)
nasrallah is the ugliest creature I have ever set eyes on. He really does look more the slob in real life rather than in a newspaper photo of him. His days are spent, besides planning the demise of the Israeli people gorging down all kinds of shit!
