1. Peres...
With all due respect to Peres for his long service to his country,Israel...the man is an out and out lefty idiot. He should not be allowed to speak publicaly. He's almost 90...take a break Peres..get a room with Carter and cry in your tea.
Tired of the lies   (11.23.12)

3. Abbas is merely the lesser of two evils
NYC Girl   (11.23.12)
4. Shimon Peres
What planet does he live on? What country? Definitely not this earth nor in any real Israel Peres is just as irrelevant as Abbas They both feed on each other
J Ottenstein ,   Brooklyn, NY   (11.23.12)
5. Yes Hamas Beats you very bad last week choose Abbas
Certainly you cannot speak to Hamas as they terribly beat you last week. IDF got second blow from Hamas, the first was from Hizbullah. So just negotiate with Abbas, You may even broadcast short funny sketches with ABBAS in clown dressing.
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (11.23.12)
6. Two Frat Solution

7. spoof
there's a funny youtube college spoof of the conflict called "Two Frat Solution"
Daniel ,   NY   (11.23.12)
8. Pals don't accept Jewish majority Israel until they say so
It's not the Palestinians saying they accept a Jewish majority Israel. It's Jews putting words in the mouths of Palestinians and interpreting them as acceptance of a Jewish Israel. If Palestinians and Abbas accepted a Jewish majority Israel they wouldn't have trouble saying that peace leads to Jewish and Palestinian states as does everyone else. The Palestinians don't want to shut the door on getting all of Israel so they look for every excuse under the sun to avoid accepting a Jewish majority Israel.

9. No more wolf, from now on only the fox
said the chicken
Shaul R   (11.23.12)
10. Abbas represent no one
Don't waste your time with this puppet. His term expired two years ago.
(11.23.12)
11. Abbas what a joke
He is no different than Hamas his words are different in English but the same on Arabic. Peres is nothing more than an American Puppet.
Joe Weinstein ,   USA   (11.23.12)
12. Peres, you are a dreamer. Nice dreams.
Vardina   (11.23.12)
13. I have my doubts, but
as the years go by, Abbas is looking more and more normal and sane compared to the alternative, secular and corrupt is better than islamist and bloodhungry, for Israel and for Palestinians.
PersianJew ,   Holon, Ta, Israel   (11.23.12)
14. Jack Bauer to Peres: imbeciles like you are the reason we...
have death on our streets and death falling on us from the skies.... idiots who believe negotiating with members of the death cult will bring peace have ZERO knowledge of the historical facts with relation to the islamic invasions. I know its not senility, because you, (peres) have always supported this delusion of peace with those who swear on their childrens blood that we will all be murdered as ordered by their leaders and their so called prophet. When jewish lives are lost you continue to promote your lie, and more attacks happen daily and yet you will never acknowledge you were wrong.... you belong in an old folks home, not in a position of authority
jack bauer   (11.23.12)
15. Abas is a holocaust denier
Abas received his PhD on his thesis denying the holocaust. How can he be our peace partner?
Jehuda ,   Herzlia, Israel   (11.23.12)
16. Abbas must learn english first.
This man is not candid, says totally different things in his speeches in arabic than english. English announcements are aimed for Israel and the international community, arabic for local palestinians. The difference between them is significant.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (11.23.12)
17. He saw
He saw mothers with 2 or 3 children running for lives from rockets. Rockets that he personally gave to Hamas. Rockets that he dismissed as being meaningless. He should apologize for being so stupid, or at least shut up. Shimon, you are disgusting.
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (11.23.12)
18. #3 Strongly disagree. Hamas is the lesser of the 2 evils
Apparently Peres, you and others have a small memory. Have you already forgotten that Abbas is head of Fatah Terrorists organization and their suicide bombers attacks against innocent Israelis and the murder of the Fogel family? Have you already forgotten that Fatah was behind the suicide bomber 2 days ago in Tel Aviv? Sly Fatah is much more dangerous than Hamas who are open with their evil. On Nov. 19, 4 days ago, Fatah and Hamas united to hit Tel Aviv. So much for a "peace partner"
Dov   (11.23.12)
19. Shimon is beyond contempt, still being true to his ego!
tom ,   tel aviv   (11.23.12)
20. Abbas is NO BETTER than Hamas... he is only willing to do...
business with and make money along with Shimon Peres. They already do major business deals together. But this does not mean a peace deal signed by Abbas would be any different than dealing with Hamas. Abbas still wants to make a PA state in ALL of Israel. Look at his maps of "Palestine". Getting a state stating at the 67 line is just the trojan hourse to step two. Listen to him in Arabic talking to his own people. That says it all.
The dirty truth ,   Israel   (11.23.12)
21. TO NO -16 you know Arabic?
You have to know the skilled is here in the underdeveloped peoples rule. But how do you know the difference between the two languages you know Arabic?
sam ,   colorado-USA   (11.23.12)
22. To: No. 21, redux
I forgot the most important thing -- the English language makes no gender distinction -- it's completely neutral. Verbs remain the same, and the modifiers do not changed. That is why it is very difficult for native English-speakers to learn foreign languages. It's almost impossible to memorize which nouns are masculine, which are feminine, and how to change the verbs to be masculine or feminine. Many's the time I've embarrassed myself when speaking Hebrew or French or Spanish, because I'd gotten it wrong! I finally simply made myself memorize as many as I could. Seems to have worked.

23. Balance&peace ONLY via SECURE BIG ISRAEL and Arab TRANSFER.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (11.23.12)
24. Peres should shut up
Why is he promoting Israel's enemy? He should shut up. It is not his business to speak up on political issues. He is a ceremonial President and not king of Israel. Judea and Samaria are Israel's liberated Historic and Biblical Homeland that is GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED. Just because the Arab Islamist-Jihadists want to usurp your land, it does not mean you give it to them so they can facilitate their evil intention of destroying Israel as stipulated in their Charter, School Textbooks and Maps. The fact is the 'peace' of the Arab Islamist-Jihadists is the destruction of Israel. Peace does not exist in their heart, mind and soul. You only read their religious literature to understand this fundamental fact. It is time the Leftists stop dreaming of a peace that does not exist.
Brod ,   USA   (11.23.12)
25. The difference between ....
.... a hard-line ersatz "Palestinian" and a so-called "moderate" ersatz "Palestinian" is negligible. Both hard-liners and "moderates" seek the destruction of the State of Israel. While hard-liners call for the extermination of the Jewish people, "moderates" call for the expulsion of the Jewish people. That's the only difference.
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.23.12)
26. Abbas
Of course Abbas has no knowledge of the continuous incitement against Israel on Palestinian television.
Len ,   Israel   (11.24.12)
27. It's Time For Peres To Retire
Peres is the poster child of the type of politician that is lethal for the survival of Israel. Perhaps he is snorting some lines in his office. To say Abbas is a partner for peace is ridiculous. This is the same man who is right now back at the U.N. asking for unilateral statehood, who himself has been involved with terrorism, who has been seen in public in pure glee when he learns Israel has been attacked. That certainly doesn't sound to me like a partner in peace. Peres is up in age, he has had a long career, his fellow cohorts should throw him a party and get him a lifetime membership to a good country club, so he can enjoy his life. But, Peres has no business being a politician anymore. Israel must have strong leaders who knows what it takes to get things done for the country and rebuffs the faulty and dangerous practice of appeasement.
