1. G-d save us from such "victories"
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (11.24.12)
Believe me, you would not want to experience a "victory" like the one Hamas experienced in Operation Pillar of Defense.
2. Up to 100 dead 1600 hamas bulding distroyed
NATAN ,   ISRAEL   (11.24.12)
May they win a lot of wars like this,
3. Tunnels
Paulo ,   Brasil   (11.24.12)
If the smugling will not stop we will know who won the battle.
4. Do the Arabs need more "lebensraum"?
Roman ,   Cracow, Poland   (11.24.12)
“Ahmadinejad congratulates Haniyeh”. !’d like to remind others that to me the current situation in the Middle East is like in the 30s in Europe with Germany publically declaring its intentions towards neighboring countries. Supposedly Germany needed more living space-the famous “lebensraum” doctrine- at the cost of Poland, Ukraine, Russia and other Slavic counties and was defeated after the bloody war ! It looks that the Arabs need that urgently too!
5. It is embarrassing for Israel
Ken   (11.24.12)
After all these year Israel, with a supposed modern army with the best weaponry in the world (at the American taxpayers expense), cannot defeat ANY rag-tag Palestinian Militant group. Every year these militant groups get stronger, look at Hamas compared to 10 years ago Hamas is now ruling the entire Gaza Strip and has missiles which can hit Jerusalem and TA. Hizbollah, Hamas etc.. Israel will never defeat these groups. Laughable...
6. To all our Arab adversaries:
HaifaGuy   (11.24.12)
You have won! We are vanquished! Defeated! Humiliated! Will you leave us alone now that your ego has been pampered?
7. The Grand Monkey was
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (11.24.12)
surprisingly tranquil during the days of Gaza war. Maybe he was eating bananas and climbed to the trees. Now it is time to insite and lie again for him.
8. Yes they stand with the Palestinians far away in a bunker
Mike ,   Israel   (11.24.12)
Only to come out when the coast is all clear, just as the brave Hezbolah. Israel is trucly lucky these guys are so brave. I hope they continue to be as brave.
9. E.G. Marsch . Not a "victory" ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.24.12)
When "only" around 160 of them were killed ? When "only" a 500 of their buildings were destroyer ? A "great victory" , Not ? a good friend of us and me abroad said it to me
10. #5 - seem like you have no idea of the devastation
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (11.24.12)
Maybe you prefer to the think that Hamas had some kind of victory but if so then you are only deluding yourself. Israel stopped the bombings because it ran out of targets. It obviously can't hit every rocket in every kitchen. What did Israel suffer? From the article ... "As you can see there is complete destruction". Does that sound like a winner to you?
11. Victory or Defeat?
Eliane Israel ,   Brazil   (11.24.12)
If this is the Victory, I am thinking what woulbe be the Defeat!
12. Sunni Syria
Zivron   (11.24.12)
Will There be congratulations in the world of Islam for Irans and hezbollahs support of the Bath Torturers who were like the Shahs Savaak .Luckily fortheMullahs the Weak Carter was in Power who is not against the Dhimmism Apartheid.
13. And, if the story about Hamas refusing to stop the smuggling
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.24.12)
of arms into Gaza is not shocking enough, I strongly invite all to view the following in YouTube: "Mahmoud Al Zahar reveals Hamas' genocidal agenda - shocking!"
14. #10
Ken   (11.24.12)
Yes there was destruction but the fact is that Hamas remains and has not laid down its arms. Heck Israel accepted a truce and didn't even put this disarmament down as a stipulation. So lets point out the fact again, after decades almighty Israel has never actually destroyed or eradicated any militant group.
15. Complete destruction = victory = a bunch of clowns...LOLLLL
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.24.12)
16. #5 ken
aaron ,   toronto,canada   (11.24.12)
What do you want the army to do?they can finish gaza off in one day by killing everybody,is that your answer?the only way this war is going to finish is GOD FORBID a missle is going to hit tel aviv and kill a few thousands, that will cross the red line and israel will have NO CHOICE but to clean out the gaza strip once and for all.
17. what?....are they blind?
Ronaldo ,   Hemel UK   (11.24.12)
hamas is claiming a victory...Please tell this to the relatives of the dead,This world is really twisted,...why can't we live in peace
18. I wish you many more 'victories'
alsky ,   toronto   (11.24.12)
19. OK OK
Hertzel ,   Tveria   (11.24.12)
To all of you here... you all do not get the point. This is all about : "conflict management". No more winning wars or loosing wars, you are fighting organizations, not state armies, to "win" here it means to kill thousands, and neither jewish morality, or these organizations limited capabilites will allow for killing that many on the other side, so Israel can only hit them hard for a memory bit or two, for a limited peace and quiet, and than do it again, this is exactly what we have been seeing over the last 10-20 years. this is the new world reality.
20. After Hizbollah, Hamas goad us into conflicts
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (11.24.12)
...their victories invariably become the removal of our IDF boots from their necks.... ...most other Armies would finish the job. Incidently, the TASE stopped plummeting on Thursday with the 'ceasefire'.. Was this also the government's consideration for ending ' the op'?
21. Don't they know how pathetic they look?
nibor ,   israel   (11.24.12)
22. Ken
Mike ,   Israel   (11.24.12)
I think you stop and try and think of what your saying Israel should do. Israel would have no problem wiping Hamas out of Gaza as they did with the PLO in Lebanon in 1982. The problem with this is simpl. The vacuum is often filled with the unkown (Hizbolah) group as was the case in 82. It is much better to hurt them enough but not to the point where another group takes power . we know how Hamas operates and who leads them. Israel is in a win win situation. I WOULD NOT WANT TO BE IN THERE SHOES.
23. If this;s victory defeat must only mean elimination of hamas
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (11.24.12)
The bottom line is Hamas will have to be eliminated. This would be good for the people of Gaza & Israel.. Then the PA can take over which is anti-Israel but at least Abbas isn't allowing rockets to be fired at Israel.
24. truce
spookey ,   birmingham uk   (11.24.12)
hamas will hold the truce for there own ends to rebuild , and now they have irsreals measure same rockets but more powerfull , watch this space
25. My personal feelings
Jerry Diamond ,   Highland Beach Fl.   (11.24.12)
If I want to read Iranian rhetoric I'll go to an Iranian websight. I expect to read positive info about Israel not this verbal diarrhea that I am reading on Y-net news. Shame on you y net you have started to become like Haaretz
26. as long as Netanyahu & Barak
Amos Jonah   (11.24.12)
keeps bowing down to Obama, this is going to happen. Ultimately it will end in the destruction Of Israel.
27. Arabs always win, they are world champions at denial
PETER SM ,   MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA   (11.24.12)
28. Victory
BK ,   US   (11.24.12)
"Victory"? The truth of the matter is that if Israel unleashed all its military power on Gaza, they could have turned Gaza into the world's biggest parking lot. Just think if the other side had that capability--they would have done that to Israel without blinking an eye.
29. I would like to join Iran in congratulating Hamas
zionist forever   (11.24.12)
They have played Bibi & Obama. They didn't budge their position on demands no matter what we threw t them whilst we gave everything and made our security worse than it was before. Instead of crippling Hamas we now worship Iron Dome which I imagine is what Obama offered Bibi in exchange for accepting Hamas demands.
30. If they win wy they have to rebuild everithing?
NATAN ,   ISRAEL   (11.24.12)
