1. Give him a sanity pill, Israel will stay a Jewish State.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.25.12)
2. Mashaal: "I want my state".
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (11.25.12)
He's never lived in Gaza - what a shmuck ! He wants his state?! These people are so negatively ambitious and aggressively violent - that it would be suicide to live next to them.
3. # 2
james ,   london england   (11.25.12)
''These people are so negatively ambitious and aggressively violent '' That's a perfect description of the Israelis
4. He DIDN'T say he accepts a Jewish state of Israel
Paqid Yirmeyahu   (11.25.12)
Getting a Palestinian State says nothing about them then accepting a Jewish state of Israel -- and it's clear even from his words now, that isn't going to happen until there is a paradigm shift in their attitude: when they love their children more than they hate Jews... They must abandon their savagery and knavery and accept a Jewish state of Israel -- FIRST.
5. No Different
Bill klien ,   USA   (11.25.12)
No security wall means open border to him which means flooding of borders with Palis result no more Jewish State. Right of return again means no more Jewish State no different than his paste statements both him and Abbas want the same thing no more Israel
6. This is what...
Golani ,   Haretz   (11.25.12)
Operation Pillar of Defense was about... Yes... Israel has achieve his goals. The only one thing missing yet... Is hamas recognising Israel as the Jewish stat... When it will come?... Not good to say... Such as I know hamas, maybe after another Operation Pillar of Defense?...
7. This is not exactly the talk
Mira ,   Vienna   (11.25.12)
of a man who has "won a huge victory", he did not even mention Jerusalem as capital, but then the Muslim falsehood is known all over the world and Israel will not fall to it. Stick the right of return up your a**s! And the security wall downbringing as well!
8. W/ "right" of return, no promise to end conflict
Adam ,   Jerusalem   (11.25.12)
He is simply saying he won't reject a state w/in 1948 borders. He doesn't promise to stop fighting. Between the influx of Palestinians masquerading as refugees to pre-67 Israel and the terror war that is sure to ensue were the security barrier taken down, this is a joke. A hudna is a temporary cease fire, not an end to the conflict. And yet the international media will claim it's a sign he's a pragmatic moderate because they don't expend an ounce of effort to think about what his words mean.
9. What he means to say is:
Jim Tel-Aviv   (11.25.12)
Give me first a pre-1967 borders' state and then I'll deal with the rest of Israel. But Yossi Beilin has exactly the same view. Another thing that Beilin has - is the ability to move to the USA and write memoirs there " Why Israel was doomed from the start", while most of us Israelis will be slaughtered here.
10. good life
Dr D ,   Jerusalem   (11.25.12)
as far as there will not be a palestinian state mashaal know that he can enjoy his life anywhere like he did in damascus . He told some close friends of him that he adore spending time (and hamas money) surrounded by young women just to taste what would have been his life in paradise as a martyr. The last thing he want is to go back to "palestine" and work.
11. Nothing new
Kenny ,   USA   (11.25.12)
Of course Hamas will accept anything Israel may be foolish enough to give it. Then they will use it as a better platform from which to try to destroy Israel. Mashaal says as much. Nothing new here.
12. Pre-1967 the West Bank was considered part of Jordan
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (11.25.12)
So what's all this crap about "historical Palestine"?
13. and I accept a free Lamborghini
(11.25.12)
so what
14. In other words
Dan ,   CH   (11.25.12)
Meshal is ready to accept a two state solution if israel is willing to commit suicide. Really interesting new position coming from the terror organization Hamas ....
15. 1967 BORDERS
Robert ,   Israel   (11.25.12)
Forty five years too late!.
16. Deranged talk for the leftist's benefit
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (11.25.12)
Credibility of militant Islam in Middle East will survive so long as Saudi and Emirates are willing to fund it. Funds will wither as renewable energy and fracked hydrocarbons relegate oil Parasites like Mashaal and Naslah will no longer be of use Mashaal State, if he plays his cards right is in Jordan, else, he'll be lucky to get a pine coffin when the ratcatchers get to him ad Nasrullah
17. hamas
spookey ,   birmingham uk   (11.25.12)
strange now he wants to be a man of peace, they are celebrating this great victory over isreal , or is it he dont want any more bombing of gaza theplace is now a ruin, would not take long to turn it into a waste land ,
18. children of rigor
Albero ,   Caesarea Israel   (11.25.12)
With these people there is no dialogue possible they think we're stupid or mortally wounded, that's the impression of a government like Israel's current, showing weakness makes people who dare to demand what they please they only know stick and stick because they are children of rigor something that this government does not understand or want to understand
19. But there are no "'67 borders"
John   (11.25.12)
There are the '49 Armistice Agreements but there are no legally, officially recognized '67 borders. So, I'm not sure what a 'state in the '67 borders' actually means.
20. #3
ada adam ,   earth planet   (11.25.12)
thank you ....i appreciate :)
21. 1967 lines are armistic lines..no borders..
Beary White ,   Norway   (11.25.12)
, then new borders and regulations must be negotiated, even the acceptance of Isreal, which is NOT in hamasss charter.
22. Mashall want's right of return which is non-starter !
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (11.25.12)
23. Maashal (and His State)
Stephen J. Korn ,   Sharon   (11.25.12)
As everyone is well aware, the only way that serious peace talks can occur between the Pals and Israel is for the Pals to change their narrative: 1. First, recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish State. 2. Second, denounce the use of terror (and armed resistance) as your means to achieve your goals of Statehood. (I.e. learn to love your children more than you hate Jews.) 3. Stop teaching your children (from the moment they can walk and talk) to hate and kill Jews. 4. Abolish your charter which calls for the destruction of the Jewish State. In reality, however, with the likes of Iran backing and associations with Assad in Syria (who has killed over thirty thousand of his own people), and Hezbollah, I just don't see this happening. Hopefully, I will proven WRONG.
24. <"I want my state...
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.25.12)
...After this state is established, it (can decide) its position toward Israel.”> EXACTLY the same position as the “vaunted Saudi plan”. The Saudis admitted that their plan was only a suggestion to other arab countries as they “could not tell others what to do”. Each country would decide, AFTER a “treaty” was signed. All are attempts at deception; just like Hudna. PS: the "1967 borders" are the 1948 [Auschwitz] borders. So much for "truth in advertising".
25. we heard this line before
zionist forever   (11.25.12)
Less than a week ago Hamas were firing rockets into Israel, when the ceasefire that Hamas won was declared Mashall was announcing what a great victory Hamas had achieved over the zionist entity. Egypt has intercepted some rockets headed for Gaza, there has been a boat withe missiles for Gaza spotted by a satellite. The son of a senior Hamas man who has been working for Israel for many years now has said it was a mistake to go with the ceasefire and not finish the job. Hamas accepts a state along the 67 lines BUT we will not end the struggle to liberate all of Palestine. Hamas basically see 1967 lines as getting a foot in the door so they are in a better position to continue the fight when it suits them. These borders are not the end game for Hamas especially but there are plenty within Fatah who also see this as being stage 1 to a single state. I really am getting bored of these speeches which show Hamas out to be peacemakers when it suits them just same as ceasefires last only as long as it suits Hamas never for a minimum fixed term.
26. Can it be true?
Sam M ,   UK   (11.25.12)
Don't ask me when I'm in prison under Israeli pressure. You cannot ask me, as a victim, what is my stand toward Israel." Translation: Nothing has changed we're still committed to the destruction of Israel but we're adapting our public face just a tad because we know the west are a bunch of gullible idiots who'll fall for any old crap. And we'll exploit the stupidity of these left wing/liberal idiots as a necessary tool to ramp up the international pressure on Israel to accept a suicidal two state solution. And in any case why not lie? It’s not as if the koran says it's wrong. In fact just the opposite it encourages lying to infidels if it helps allah!! Ps The 'prison' bit of his statement refers to a Jewish state anywhere in the traditional islamic heartland. That's anywhere in the middle east by the way. And the term 'occupation' has exactly the same meaning. Hands up if you believe a single word coming out of the mouth of this odious thug. Anyone who does should wear a hat with the word ‘moron’ clearly written in large letters across the front so at least we know who you are!
27. Canaries and parrots
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (11.25.12)
die if kept in too small cages. Six million jewish birds must have a minimal space too. For arab canaries there are huge lands behind the Jordan river and in the Sinai.
28. Mashaal is the very definition of mental illness.
Israeli ,   Haifa   (11.25.12)
29. Having a second thought
Mira ,   Vienna   (11.25.12)
it might well be that he is afraid of the MB in Egypt going down the sewage now and that may cut him off support and smuggling.
30. Now if Israel refuses it will be clear to the whole world
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (11.25.12)
that Israel doesn't want peace !
