31. Yes, most players on the list are muslims..
Beary White ,   Norway   (12.02.12)
Could be all of them is carrying the burdon of the islamic fate, pressured onto them by imams and madrasses. And we all know, where islam has conquered the heads, normal behaviour has no place in THAT brain. It will be filled with hate against non-islamic believers, and those 40.000 syrians killed by other islamic followers is just a normal thing for the islamic idiots, why should we expect more from islamic soccer-players? Islamists have taken the evil religion onto the soccer-fields!! Could be those rockets fired from the soccerfield in the strip actually was a penalty shoot-out...
32. i wish thousands of rockets to the football players !
Daniela   (12.02.12)
we will then ask them how they feel !
33. Do not allow these jerks into Israel .
olim hadashim ,   tel aviv/israel   (12.02.12)
34. KANOUTE PLAYING FOR GENOCIDE-PERPETRATING CHINESE... HAHAHA
Nowhere Man ,   Metropolis, Zion.   (12.02.12)
35. brains & legs!
tiki ,   belgium   (12.02.12)
Now the football ''intelligentia'' is stumbling into politics, when they can barely sign their own name. I thought sport was about friendship and not boycots! But when your brain is in your legs, you can easily mix things up! Playing for countries with no human rights & dictatorships is no stumbling block for these parroting hypocrites without any knowledge about realities as long as the price is right. If these 'starplayers refuse to play in Israel, they should be disqualified.
36. woow !! good news come together :)
Salma ,   Occupied Palestine   (12.02.12)
37. @17 The Hasbarist BS'er
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (12.02.12)
Of the 3 names mentioned in the article, 1 is of French nationality, 1 is of Belgian nationality and one is of African nationality. The WORLD is against israel's behavior, not just Arabs and African Blacks. But zonists are too blind to see it.
38. Maybe they'd be more comfortable in SYRIA! LOL
Hadassah ,   Israel   (12.02.12)
39. World Cup
Ho Hum   (12.02.12)
Meanwhile we are going to have a world cup, far more important in a racist, misogynistic Muslim country. The silence on that is deafening. And as for top players, Eden Hazard is world class. Most of the others are not. And a note on hazard, he is Belgian where anti-semitic attacks are frequent and open.
40. Frankly...
Alexandre ,   France   (12.02.12)
Israel should make illegal this cr*ppy sport. In no other sports (rugby, handball, swimming...) you will find players corrupted by money and lack of values to such a degree.
41. Who cares, the tournament will go on anyways.
Robert Renders ,   Belgium   (12.02.12)
42. hypocrites
rjs ,   tel aviv   (12.02.12)
If we are to believe that human rights and fairness are the way to hold championship soccer in Israel who on average legally kill (terrorists) far less than USA and Britain along with its european neighbours do in afghanistan and iraq then why do these countries hold olympics, world cup soccer, champions league soccer etc...when their kill tally is far greater than Israel could ever achieve. And as for eddie hazard of chelsea complaining why doesnt he tell his Jewish paymaster what he really thinks about Israel and Jews ? he doesnt because Roman Abramovic would kick his a$$ so far into the minor leagues. Racist Jew haters need to learn some tolleration and calm before critising Israel. As the moslems and christians believe Let Those Without Sin Cast The First Stone.... we in Israel will have to wait a very long time before we get a glimps of a moslem or christian who are without sin. HYPOCRITES
43. 60 SUCKER PLAYERS
peter ,   marseille   (12.02.12)
44. #1
european   (12.02.12)
i know! it's ridiculous. first of all it's definitely not safe, it's a country perpetually at war, and more importantly, what on earth has israel got to do with europe?
45. Take your protest to the bench!
Cynthia ,   USA   (12.02.12)
Let them sit out the games without pay and contemplate how soccer is not politics and exclusion is not sportsmanship.
46. To #1 and 44, and their ilk.
Steven ,   Rockville MD USA   (12.03.12)
Cyprus is also playing in the European zone. I presume you do not object to Cyprus, only to Israel. Following the Nazi script, next you will object to any Jewish player who plays in Europe. Eat your heart out you stinking rats, if you have any at all. Brain for sure you do not have.
47. Stay At Home!!
A Shvitzer ,   Israel   (12.03.12)
Let these so called well known??? Footballers stay at home if they feel so strongly Anti-Israel .
48. Eden Hazard...
Jan ,   Belgium   (12.03.12)
A great Belgian winger, but now that I heared that his involving politics with football, I will mention everywhere how a dirty coward he is
49. @23 Ross.
Hassan ,   USA   (12.03.12)
Maybe you should spend a night in Gaza, the largest open air prison in the world and give us a feed back.
50. Kanoute
Jose ,   Seville,Spain   (12.03.12)
"We, as European football players, express our solidarity with the people of Gaza who are living under siege and denied basic human dignity and freedom" Brain dead footballers should stick to football. This Kanoute is an insult to Sevilla!!FACT KANOUTE: Israel pulled out of Gaza a few years ago, the "siege" is only to prevent weapons and rockets being smuggled in that help the Internationally recognized terrorist group, Hamas who govern Gaza fire on Israel. The shops/markets are packed with every food in Gaza etc, ignorant fools the lot of them.
51. Hassan- here with same old rubbish
Emma ,   Africa   (12.04.12)
Gaza may have a blockade on it with respects to arms. That doesn't make it a prison. For your info, do you know that they have a border with Egypt and do use it to go out when they like. how do you think the qatari emir came in some months ago. Israel didn't like it but could do very little. The car Jabari was driving was a very nice new KIA. Go to conflict areas in Africa like DRC and tell me how many people you see in those areas driving nice looking cars. The Gaza situation may not be pleasant, but stop with all this open air prison nonsense...
