1. He stays in his cage
Cameron ,   USA   (12.01.12)
Israel & dual nationals must firmly learn the Pollard lesson for future behavior.
2. Release Pollard now!
Johannes ,   Norway   (12.01.12)
It's a shame that this man who is NOT an enemy of the USA is still in prison. I remember the Russian gang of enemy spies a few years ago that were released after only a few months in prison. But then the US had to do with a super power!
3. US Administration wants him out of the way
Roland Seener ,   London England   (12.01.12)
4. I guess they told him Palestine became a UN member
sonofyaffa ,   Palestine   (12.02.12)
5. US and Peres Together
Bill Klien ,   USA   (12.02.12)
Bet Peres and the US Goverment is happy. Peres I've always wonder what was Peres true relationship with the US goverment was and still is. Guess his relationship was one of the reasons he got the Congressional Medal of Freedom. In my Opinion the Israeli government Should investigate this.
6. to 1
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (12.02.12)
Oh, really, bigot ? And how much do you know about the Polard case ? Does your "firm" suggestion apply as well to many of those American and foreign muslims, who committed and attempted to commit mass murders and treason against Americans, right here in US ? Jonathan Polard didn't cause any harm to the US security and did not deserve a life sentence in an isolated cell...
7. Mr. Pollard is a traitor to his country USA...
(12.02.12)
and please do remember that when he committed his acts of treason he was not a citizen of Israel! He received Israeli Citizenship in the late 1990s from Prime Minister Mr. Netanyahu. and what is most intriguing is that Prime Minister Netanyahu with two terms as Prime Minister hasn't gotten this traitor released! Now that is something worthy of a serious investigation (not)!
8. why are there no TBs criticizing Pollard's actions?
American ,   America   (12.02.12)
he's a traitor let him rot in jail!
9. Cap Weinberger Responsible for Pollard Incarceration
Ilana ,   SF CA   (12.02.12)
You can blame that prick Cap Weinberger for making Pollard the fall guy for the whole affair. And the stinking anti-semitic US State Dept for the continued incarceration of Pollard to this day. Well, and the CIA too they don't want him to go back to Israel, as he knows something that the US doesn't want Israel to know . . . ya think?
10. LOL #1 "Lesson"
Vlad   (12.02.12)
You honestly think that if Israel has interests that require spying on the US, this is going to be a "lesson"? Let me explain something. It is almost certain that Israel still spies on the USA. Countries do that when they have interests. No matter how harshly you punish those who are caught, it'll still happen.
11.  the clown feels bad
bill ,   canada   (12.02.12)
he needs to write musicals; something to be remembered by; the data stolen is dated and worthless
12. To #1...You are really just # 2 !
Robert Blum ,   New Albany, USA   (12.02.12)
The USA has pardoned countless spies from the Peoples Republic of China who have stolen the technology which China used to make high tech weapons, including submarines and aircraft. The USA has pardoned and returned to Russia just 1 year ago, several Russian spies. But because Pollard is a Jew, you and this Muslim-led administration are vindictive and want to deny him freedom, even though, unlike China and Russia, Israel is a truly democratic friend of the USA and the first line of defense against an Islamic invasion of America. Roosevelt and so many other Americans have betrayed the Jewish people, yet we are stanch allies of America!
13. As a Jew....
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (12.02.12)
As a Jew, I will pray for his recovery. As an American citizen, I can't support his release. He wasn't an "Israeli spy" doing noble things for Israel. He was a greedy traitor who got some Israeli dopes to try to get him out of prison. If his acts were so noble, then he should do the noble thing and fall on the sword for Israel. I'd give my life for the US. If he's a true "patriot" of Israel, then giving his life for Israel shouldn't be such a tough pill for him to swallow.
14. Intelligence is time-sensitive
Ezra ,   San Diego USA   (12.02.12)
Everything he spilled is already out there on the internet. It's time sensitive, so it's no longer classified. Let him go already! He embarrassed some idiot, who still has idiot-friends in the government. It's so annoying seeing the same old mentality in government. They trade their empty heads and switch suites on each election.
15. Pollard
Edouard ,   Canada   (12.02.12)
It is not clear to me why israel that is making all kinds of deals together with the USA are not brokering a deal to release him as part of some exchange with Palestinian prisoners This will look good for the USA ,Arabs will be happy ,isrel as well Win ,win situation
16. Mr. American (# 8)
Neal ,   Minneapolis USA   (12.02.12)
"Mr, American," evidently thinks with his automobile bumper, doesn't seem to have any history of espionage, lengths of sentences for it, or history of the Pollard case. Here's some help: 1. Pollard copied documents the United States had promised to supply Israel but didn't. At least, that's how he began. Money was almost forced on him; he hadn't sought it. 2. Pollard's sentence is harsher than that given many agents for America's Cold War enemies, including members of the infamous family that sold U.S. communications codes to the USSR while U.S. aircrews were flying in combat over North Vietman. 3. Regardless of any of the above, Pollard agreed to cooperate in the investigation of his misdeeds in return for a promise of no life sentence. Then, purportedly after a memo from the vile Caspar Weinberger, Pollard was sentenced to life in prison. The United States violated its own pledge. That, more than anything else about this whole matter, infuriates me. Violating one's oath of secrecy -- which Pollard admitted he did -- is dead wrong and deserving of punishment. But for this democracy to violate its own pledge also is a disgrace, perhaps worse. I'd always believed that my country kept its promises. I kept mine for my 20-plus years wearing this nation's uniform, but that this nation broke its agreement fills me with sorrow and shame.

who cares????????????????
18. You are shown an absurd amount of favor & aid, #6
Cameron ,   USA   (12.02.12)
There is harsh penalty when you stoop to playing sneak & snoop with your benefactor. Let Pollard serve as a real warning.
19. Cameron, #18
Vlad   (12.02.12)
All that favor is for a reason. The United States has a strategic interest in supporting Israel. If that interest ebbs, you'd better believe that the USA will dump Israel. The US was not an ally of Israel from the start. The large-scale aid and support only began in 1974. France and the Soviet Union were Israel's first patrons. I have no doubt in my mind that aid will be reduced and then cut, starting this decade, and the two countries will be more separate. And the US has used its aid as a weapon. There are no real allies, only interests. The US understands the game and plays it well.
20. Don't you realize that Israel humiliated the FEDS
ben   (12.02.12)
when they traveled to Israel read what Israel did to the Americans when they traveled to Israel . The abuse was not just by Israel officials but by the press also. Go ahead and humilitae the FBI see what happens
21. The gates of hell are wide open to receive a traitor...
Mark Wilson ,   U.S.A   (12.02.12)
22. When asked to return the stolen material
ben   (12.02.12)
the Israelis reportedly only turned over a few low -classified documents. At the time the Americans knew that Pollard had passed tens of thousands of documents. When the American investgators traveled to Israel they were treated with hostility from the moment they arrived in Israel to the moment they left. the Israelis created a schedule designed to wear them down, including many hours per day of commuting in blacked out buses on rough roads leaving them without adequate time for sleep and preventing them from sleeping on the comute. The identity of Pollards original handler Sella was withheld. All questions had to be translated into Hebrew and then translated back into English, even though all parties spoke perfect English. The commander Jerry Agee remembers that, even as he departed the airport, airport security made a point of informing him that " you will never be coming back here again" Agee found various items had stolen from his luggage, upon his return to the United States. The abuse came not only from the gaurds and officials, but also the Israeli media
23. #22 ben make up your own words, don't copy from Wikipedia.
Vlad   (12.02.12)
24. Squall & circle around the sneak as you will
Cameron ,   USA   (12.02.12)
But US judgement has been laid down, and he remains where he is. Be grateful our displeasure did not take a more profound or painful turn for Israel.

lightharry ,   New York   (12.02.12)
Pollard will die for his sins in a jail cell like all of the gansters doing everything to bring the US down.
28. Cameron, #18
lightharry ,   New York   (12.02.12)
France and the Soviet Union were Israel's first patrons to get the Jewish population out of their countries. They also have their interests. The USA and Canada are being pressured to support Israel by the special interest groups like AIPAC.
29. He rots in Jail
Hanan ,   FL, USA   (12.02.12)
He will die in Prison and America and teh enlightened Western world will soon learn how heavy is the finger of god. Hurricans in the Northern coast, Fires in the west, Flooding in the east. Not Global BS, but the finger of God. Laugh, laugh to your hearts content, but when you cry, I will not have the heart to witness.
30. No Mercy
US Marine ,   Iowa City, USA   (12.02.12)
This man needs to die in prison for all his treasonus acts. I feel for his family, but he did this to them. If a American can go to prison for life for drugs, and they do, then for Pollards crimes he should never again be free. His crimes are much worse than most. I feel nothing for him, and he should never be free.
