Enough said...
32. Glad she is safe, but...
Runner1983 ,   USA   (12.02.12)
She did not use good critical judgment or common sense, which always trumps religious doctrine and practice. By not contacting her parents, she needlessly caused them worry and panic, not to mention the time and expense of others looking for her. I hope she realizes this.
33. I am so glad she is okay
Liz   (12.02.12)
we were all worried... truly But HOW stupid can she be to "not realise" her parents and boyfriend would be looking for her? I once lost my son in an enormous crowd for over two hours and I thought I was going to die until I eventually found him.... I seem a remember a phrase פיקוח נפש דוחה שבת There are SO many holes in this story. If she is so frum why did she leave so little time to get from Netanya to Mazkeret Batya when Shabat came in at 4:15 pm this week...?

As if this is the first time that someone made a mistake and caused a search. Why is the country not always up in arms when these things happen? The only difference is now it's because of Shabbat when all the blood thirsty religion hater vampires expose their fangs and want to suck blood. The girl obviously made a grieve mistake but it's not the first and probably not the last times things like this will happen. Maybe someone should take account how much money drukken drivers, drug attics, alcoholics and crime costs the state and blaim it on a different trend of education.

those people get jailed and pay for their crimes and stupidity we are asking the same
37. Something missing?
Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (12.02.12)
If she knew she could not reach her fiance she should have phoned him to say so. Similarly before Shabbos began she should have phoned home to say where she was. Do Israelis not have answer machines where you can hear the person without picking up the phone? Do their mobiles not take messages? Do their texts not work? Given the security situation one requires some common sense. Technically she still had 18 minutes after candle-lighting to leave a message for her finace and parents.
38. #6, no love in this religion, but Israeli nation does love.
Michael ,   California, USA   (12.02.12)
"Jewish nation" has a very long history of hating. From the start, those who believed in g hated those who made golden statues to themselves, did they not? To this confused young woman the telephone was a golden calf on that Friday. Using the telephone to call her father was a hilul, and that's great stupidity. As I wrote here many times, Israelis are different. We live as a modern nation, not limited by old beliefs that make no sense. We serve our country, want the best for it and from it. Of course you can be religious and thank g for whatever you want, but in separation from us, in your private life. Only then can all of us, in your words, "respect and love each other."
39. 8 Michael,and you the only way...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (12.02.12)
to repent is to become Orthodox.

This is a great example how we cherish any Jewish life. We spend all our time and resources to save a life even in a slight over protective reaction. Let the world know we will desecrate the Shabbos or any day for the sake of safety of a fellow Jew in peace or war period. If it was your child u would turn the world upside down. As for the girl don't judge since they could not GPS the cell phone could be the phone battery was done or maybe cold feet no pressure from families on wedding arrangements. I proud of all parties involved only money at stake. Mol hakavod Israeli police.
