2. Iran realised the mistake they made
Iran has been openly supporting Assad for all this time and they are finally catching on his days are numbered and if they want any influence with the new regime they need to switch sides.
I imagine Iran will continue arming Assad behind the scenes keep him in power as long as possible but in public they are going to start speaking againt him.
We will also probably eventually start hearing the same sort of speeches from Hazbollah and Russia all worried about relations with the new regime.
