31. Tiki, You State It Exactly
Dallas ,   Canada   (12.04.12)
Saved me composing the identical words. Not everyone has gone down the rabbit-hole, that's reassuring.
32. The UK 'deplores'
Josh ,   Jerusalem   (12.03.12)
The Foreign Office used the word "deplore" in response to vicious sectarian violence in Burma in October. Thousands have been killed there. Israel wants to build homes for people to live in and the Foreign Office uses the same word, "deplore". The conclusion is that in the minds of the William Hague Jews building homes to live in is the equivalent of massacre in Burma. This is warped and depraved beyond comprehension.
33.  PEACE IS LIKE AN OIGNON
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (12.04.12)
At each leaf we peal off ,we weep.
34. Ramallah
David ,   Montpelier USA   (12.04.12)
Is the Palestinian capital. Palestinians need to accept that. If not, conflict continues.
35. To #26- what agreement you are talking about?
Jon ,   USA   (12.04.12)
36. To Eric: 1m More Jews Would Help
Noah Lev ,   LosangelesUSA   (12.04.12)
To Eric...good analysis and Im assuming correct. The Arabs in my opinion, are going for the entire ball of wax..67 borders, E. Jerusalem, complete sovereignty, an army, treaties with other countries, control of the borders, air and water. Of course, refugee return is paramount, and they will threatned until acheived. While yo are correct technically, we see that agreements mean nothing..including the more important 242 and Roadmap (reciprocity). Abbas ignoring 242 is the death knell in fact. The US says, look, we will veto UNSC resolutions, but Israel has to give too. Thats the Obama and State Dept tactic. The problem, in 50 years, it hasnt worked. The conflict is not about continuity..reciprocity, housing, etc., its abvout Israels demise. The US knows it, as does the West. Everyone knows it, Abbas Eban knew it. Is there an answer: no, just as there is no cure for cancer. But some cancers can be remedied.. The 3,000 apts are a mild rebuke to the vote..Israel could seal the borders, destroy efery PA structure, call up reserves (rotating), and shut down all Pales media, for beginners. Bibi is holding back, understanding there will be repercussions. As the actress says, we will "end you". So far, Israel doesnt have that policy. As Sheen says, its about "winning", Israel is not winning. Takes 1 step fwd and 3 steps backwards.
37. Who Cares About Israel/Palestinians?
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (12.04.12)
Israel erred big time after the 67 War. Had it lost, well, read Michael Orens Six Days of War. Any loss and Israel's future isbleak or ended. The Muslim world has 1.4b..Israel 6m Jews, (diversified). Diaspora Jewry is helpful in the West..but has no influence elsewhere. The Holocaust is moot. Israel should have anexed what it needed for security, and build behind..everything else could have been transferred to a legal entity..assuming as we say now side by side in peace. The Allon Plan is okay, with adjustments, or transrfer Arabs to Jordan, (Eastern Palestine). This conflict will never end unless something drastic occurs and Im thinking nukes, which will change facts on the ground. The US has other problems, and Israel is high on foreign policy, but low on importance. i mean, who talks about Israel or the Pales. Get it! The Arabs also lost with thevote..now they have to put up or shut up. An what if Israel seals the borders/brings in capital punishment?
38. re: to building in Jerusalem, UN don't care North, South, W.
mary_of_bethany ,   singapore   (12.04.12)
the West is stupid, or plain lazy, if not worst coward. as long as Jerusalem is mentioned, UN or EU won't bother to find out whether is it really East Jerusalem is touched, or just North or South or West Jerusalem. as long as the taboo word of Jerusalem is mentioned linked to any buildings, they will shrieked "forbidden". nobody bothers to do some homework to check locations, in whole, they will veto any part of Jerusalem to be touched. so frankly, not just East Jerusalem will be hijacked, the whole of Jerusalem is hijacked into limbo state. because UN is stupid, lazy and coward! stupid because always fooled by pals, lazy because can't read simply map, coward because scared of arab fat rich nations.
39. Wow, the right-wing Israeli government must be
Giora Me'ir ,   USA   (12.04.12)
shaking in its boots with that one. Actually they probably are, with laughter.
40. and the palis going to the UN last week isnt unilateral??
Brett Levitas ,   JHB South Africa   (12.04.12)
41. If Eurabia doesn't complain.... it's not worth doing.
BH ,   Iowa   (12.04.12)
The UN vote confirmed EU is not an honest broker. Abu mazen can order deadly riots in any Eurabian city on a moment's notice. EU is already conquered and enslaved.
42. TO "ALL" PRO-PALESTINIAN POSTERS
BEN JABO ()MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (12.04.12)
Can any of you explain why Palestine isn't mentioned in t he Quran? \As a matter of fact, Jerusalem isn't mentioned either You're trying to steal what never belonged to you Your Anceint Capital Cithy was ? Wherecan we view your old coinage or relics, who where your last three Kings ?
43. Solve refugee issue + we'll know if there is solution
Sam ,   Canada   (12.04.12)
What's the point of discussing other issues if in the end Palestinians always demand a right of return into Israel. If you solve borders, security, Jerusalem etc and then Palestinians demand a right of return then nothing has been resolved. If you solve refugees first you know there can be Jewish and Palestinian states which is the objective.
44. We don't know what we want...
Yoav ,   Tel aviv   (12.04.12)
I think we're getting screwed both ways, one state or 2 states....it is time to move my family back to Russia....Do we really want peace...it does not seem like it...all our government officials must be fired....
45. Jerusalem and the West Bank
Tom Healey ,   NY   (12.04.12)
Jerusalem and the West Bank is Israel.
46. Settlements in Judea and Samaria
ltrail ,   United States   (12.04.12)
There are many USofA Citizens who support the State of Israel building their settlements in Judea and Samaria; as well as in Jerusalem. The State of Israel is your nation, and you should do whatever you deem prudent and necessary. G-d, please bless the State of Israel, extraordinarily.
47. to #35

The Oslo accords!
48. You can't continue to steal others' lands unpunished
Marwan ,   Tel Aviv, Palestine   (12.04.12)
Payback time is nearer than you all think.
49. Syria is readying its Sarin Gas but UK US Fr are threatening
Alan ,   SA   (12.04.12)
Israel with "measures"...Israel must ignore them and build build build!!! I dont want a tatooed number on myself or on on any Jew again. What will be the next UNSC or UNGA resolution against us? They want to play "chicken" with Israel
50. Maybe Israel should come to Dearborn Michigan and build
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (12.04.12)
homes for its citizens. Then when the Palestinians there...started firing missiles into Jewish neighborhoods...the Bonehead in the White House might get a clue and have to deal with the idiots that follow their backwards cult of death.
51. E1 area was first planned when the late Mr. Yitzhaq Rabin...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.04.12)
...was Israel's prime minister. And, it was Mr. Rabin, z"l, who, in his speech at the Knesset, 5 Oct. 1995, stated that Ma'aleh Adumim will be incorporated into united Jerusalem under Israel's sovereignty as part of his contour for peace. To accuse Mr. Netanjahu, now, is a bit pathetic..
52. To: 35
Bigizz ,   Israel / USA   (12.04.12)
The Oslo Accords.. Palestinians breached the Oslo Accord. By unilaterally going to UN to get a non observer state.
53. Ok Obama, Israel believes...
Belinda ,   Texas, USA   (12.04.12)
Building more homes in Laredo, Texas would be harmful to peace "negotiations" with the drug cartels in Mexico!!!! What a bunch of idiots!!
54. I am upset Israel is building 3,000 units!
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (12.04.12)
Israel should be building 30,000 units in E1 and not only 3,ooo. The PLO has violated OSLO one too many times, and it's time for Israel to build throughout our capital and demonstrate that Jerusalem will always remain part of Israel.
55. Ten-month settlement freeze
Bridget   (12.04.12)
is long over. PA unilateral move begets one. International guarantees violated and European nations abstain or vote in favor.
56. MUST build!
Sheljen ,   Jerusalem Israel   (12.04.12)
Israel must build as many Jewish housing units as possible ,wherever possible. What chutzpa these countries have to tell us not to build! Driving in Yehuda and Shomron, and to Kiryat Arba, the "Palestinians" build as much and as often as they like, mushrooming up overnight, with no word against them. This is our Jewish land and our right to build. Good for Bibi not to give into these anti-Semitic nations.
57. Mr. Obama, four years ago, could have placed himself in a...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (12.04.12)
...position of being an agent of an accommodation of peaceful coexistence between Arab and Jew, between the Muslim-Arab world and the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel. But, sadly, Mr. Obama, beginning with his 2009 Cairo University speech, exposed himself to being an agent of Islam in the US, and Islamic concepts in the Middle East. The US President, as early as 2009, should have adopted the contour-for-peace of the late Mr. Yitzhaq Rabin and spoken at the Knesset on 5 Oct. 1995, it having been Mr. Rabin's last speech at Israel's parliament. The man who was dubbed "the prince of peace", worldwide, and acting as such based on proper reading of international law, bilateral agreements, as well as understanding of Israel's best national and security interests, said the following about a future accommodation: 1. Jerusalem will remain united under Israel's sovereignty and will also include the suburbs of Giv'at Zeev and Ma'aleh Adumim 2. All major Jewish settlement blocs (e.g. Gush Etzion, Ariel, Beit El, Gush Qatif, JBI) will be incorporated into the sovereign state of Israel 3. The Jordan Valley must be viewed in the widest sense of the term and it too will continue to be ruled by Israel 4. The future Palestinian state will not be a regular one in that it will be totally demilitarized, its airspace will be controlled by Israel as will its boundaries and all of its border passes: land, sea and air Mr. Obama can still adopt Mr. Rabin's pronounced principles, but does he actually care to do so...??.
58. #48 Haven't you folks been saying that for the past century?
(12.04.12)
59. My fellow Canadian
Fred ,   Ontario, Canada   (12.04.12)
Curious... when did the US equip Israel with its' nuclear arsenal? I think I missed that. It must be true though... right? Also... why so worried about the settlements? Don't you think that, once formed, the Palistinians would accept Jews as citizens in their new country just as Israel accepts millions of Arabs? Sure they would! Why... those middle eastern muslims are known for their civility and tolerance. Right?
60. 'complicates' peace efforts
MAT ,   UK   (12.04.12)
VERY STRANGE WE DONT HEAR ANY COUNTRY SAYS PALISTINIANS COMPLICATES PEACE EFFORTS WHATEVER PALISTININS SAY OR ASK WORLD SEEMS TO GO WITH THEM ITS THE IN THING WITH THE WORLD ITS ALWAYS ISRAEL AT FAULT ISRAEL POLITICIANS SHOULD MAKE MORE NOISE THAT THEY ARE DOING NOW
