1. Here is an idea - try negotiating boarders
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (12.05.12)
"PA will use all means to block move" Here is a novel idea, why not come back to the negotiation table after 4 years of running from it, and negotiate boarders. Once that is done then each country can build what they like in their own land.
2. Why are they there in the first place?
James ,   Washington DC, USA   (12.05.12)
Why are settlements there in the first place? Any other country would call that an invasion.
3. A terrorist makes demands on ISRAEL, HAH!
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (12.05.12)
4. Funny
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.05.12)
Do not Abbas and Erekat understand that negotiations with Israel went out the window on November 29th? Israel has its own red line. The ersatz "Palestinians" crossed it on the 29th of November, 2012. Annexation of Judea and Samaria is looming on the horizon. The ersatz "Palestinians" have only themselves to blame. They can turn to the United Nations until they turn blue in the face. They have forced Israel's hand -- Israel is a sovereign nation and can build where it wants, when it wants. The ersatz "Palestinians" seem to continue to harbor the delusion that Israel is interested in negotiations. That's over and done with. We're through talking.
5. traditionally Arab east Jerusalem was filled with Jews until
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (12.05.12)
"traditionally Arab east Jerusalem" was filled with Jews until 1948 when Jordan occupied and ethnically cleansed it.
6. Save the peace process
joe Canada   (12.05.12)
BS what peace process. this is a joke.
7. Reality
Arie ,   Sderot   (12.05.12)
To the butcher of munich, the very existence of Israel is a "red line," much like it was to hitler
8. Abbas has become the greatest show in town
Devorah   (12.05.12)
A terrorist non-president of a bankrupt welfare non-state running to the UNSC screaming "Stop the Jews from building homes, make them stopppppppppp!" Abbas, run to the UNSC, run to the Hague, run everywhere you can thnk of. Maybe you'll die from exhaustion.
9. The best thing for Israel
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (12.05.12)
Israel should start construction tomorrow morning and build as fast as possible. Actually, that's only second best. The best thing is to dissolve the PA and arrest Abbas and his cronies on terrorism charges. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
10. And also peace is a 'red line'
Avi   (12.05.12)
11. Abbas beat us to the red line... He went to the UN
Lalalalala ,   Israel   (12.05.12)
Now suffer the consequences
12. The Security Council should act
Yosef ,   Boca Raton   (12.05.12)
Sure....They shoot rockets all day long, They bomb our buses full of people, slit our throats and rape our women and that is fine and the security council does nothing. But they will do something because we decide to build houses to live in... interesting
13. Try this first
Abu Yousuf el Dugri   (12.05.12)
Recognize Israel as a Jewish state, something you failed to do till this day!! . Second step start to talk with Israel and not the UN. After 65 years you must have learned from your mistakes?.
14. Recognize Israel?
Robert ,   Australia   (12.06.12)
If the Palestinians formally recognized Israel it would give Netanyahu carte-blanche to thumb his nose even more to the international community. Don't be fooled into falling for Israel's tactics.
15. US should send signal
Ed ,   USA   (12.05.12)
This would be an appropriate time for the US to send a message via the security council. The US should abstain on a resolution condemning the accellerated planning for the E1 area. It's time to make things very clear that steps that end the peace process are not tolerable.
16. To # 2
Daniela   (12.06.12)
I would ask American natives what they think about occupying land...they would probably say that you and all those who came s From somewhere out of America are occupying their land
17. Abbas would be a great liberal/
Poppy Bison ,   United States   (12.06.12)
democrat -- all he does is whine and lie.
18. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.05.12)
Judea and Samaria are non-sovereign territories, which Israel reacquired in the course of fighting a DEFENSIVE war against Jordan. The land is Israel's to settle, retain and even annex. Perhaps if the nascent State of Israel hadn't been invaded by five Arab armies, things might have worked out differently for the ersatz "Palestinians." But you cannot put toothpaste back into the tube. The ersatz "Palestinians" need to take ownership of their bad decisions, and recognize that they are the exclusive architects of their plight. Why should Israel pay the price for ersatz "Palestinian" stupidity?
19. Build a Jewish development in S Samaria
BH ,   Iowa   (12.05.12)
Build five towers in the shape of a giant middle finger abbas can see from his office.
20. Palestine Options: UNGA, UNSC, ICC
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (12.06.12)
Palestine has at least three options to gain their freedom in a non-violent manner 1. Continued votes supporting them in the UNGA. 2. For the first time in awhile, binding decisions by the UNSC, now that Israel has even violated their last important friend's red-line and no longer can assure the U.S. will veto proposals. 3. The ICC, which will ignore political pressure and rule based on the law, such as the Geneva Convention which explicitly makes colonizing conquered territory after it was passed in 1949 a war crime. These are the Pals only options other than violence, since Israsel is not interested in peace and ignores all international agreements they make.
21. NO West Bank state..EVER
RAYS ,   USA   (12.05.12)
Palestinians on "the West Bank" should never be allowed a state. It would be stupid. They are dedicated to the destruction of Israel just as Hizbolla in So Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza,Iran, Sudan, Syria Egypt's Islamiv Brotherhood, etc. They differ only in tactics.Teir aim is the same.
22. They should have thought earlier
Raphael ,   Netanya   (12.05.12)
The arab negotiators in Rhodes 1949 expressly refused that the Green Line be a an internationally recognized border. And the euro dhimmis never insisted, expecting the arab revenge. There is nothing illegal to build across a non recognized boundary.
23. Any Excuse, Any Excuse At All
emanon ,   USA   (12.05.12)
Any excuse at all to break off negotiations and resume bombing Israel. It's not the first time we've seen this tactic from the arabs. Also known as the moving goalpost strategy.
24. #2: No, It Is Called Urban Expansion
emanon ,   USA   (12.05.12)
If a new block of apartments goes up in Silver Springs, MD, no one protests. It is called Washington adding to its suburbs. Washington, DC isn't even one of the 50 recognized states.
25. red line
(12.05.12)
It does not cross the red line but rather the green line!
26. Abbas et al. ought to thank BB
HaifaGuy   (12.05.12)
for presenting them with another opportunity to do what Arabs are best at: evading dealing with real issues, such as corruption, lawlessness, ruthless oppression of women, gays and other minorities, unemployment, and rampant inefficiency of every aspect of their societies. Indeed, our pious cousins prefer whining, sabre-rattling, extortion, blame-gaming, freeloading and sheesha-smoking. Why? Because they're lazy. Why are they lazy? Must be something in the Holy Qur'an, mustn't there? And if there is, who's to blame? Gosh, aren't you all perceptive:-)))))
27. #2
Madeleine ,   Israel   (12.05.12)
STOP PRESS: Jews have been living in Yehuda and Shomron for millenia, since long before there was such a thing as Islam in the world. Only when Jordan invaded Israel and stole the land from us in the 1948 war which they started and lost, were no Jews allowed to live there. We merely liberated it in 1967.
28. How is it illegal?
David ,   Israel   (12.05.12)
The land that's there was conquered Jordanian territory during the war in 1967, that rightfully became Israel's seeing as it was Jordan who attacked Israel first. The same rhetoric can be made in the Balkans to Cyprus. Also can be made about Gaza which was once Egyptian territory. There never was a Palestinian state and when it was the mandate, such "Palestinians" were actually Jews as well. It's just a stupid name "Palestinians" like to use to try and bring a historic link to the land even though they have none. Unfortunately facts on the ground has been so constantly distorted that it can even be argued about. .
29. To #2
Johannes ,   Norway   (12.05.12)
The Jews are back in their own land because God in his word has said it is time for them to return to the promised land! And no man or superpower can stop it; cursed is he who tries to!
30. Finally the Pestillians got it...oh well...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.05.12)
