Unelectable people with no morals should be banished from the Knesset for good.
2. The revolving door of also-rans
Akiva   (12.06.12)
Amir Peretz parades with righteous indignation out the revolving door of Leftist Labor into the open arms of Leftist Livni. How shocking! The elephant in the room of the whole situation is that the left is floundering, crumbling, dying on it's feet. They lash out at the right with vague and contrived accusations of standing up to international pressure for the good of Israel. Yet at the same time they know this is, shockingly enough, exactly what Israelis have wanted for years. Sorry Peretz, you're old hat now. Go join that anti-Torah fossil Livni and the two of you can stew with your single-digit seats in opposition while Israel finally moves forward and claims what has belonged to her all along; our eternal homeland and our eternal faith in Hashem.
3. Livnis liability is shellys victory
zionist forever   (12.06.12)
The last person she should want running with her is Peretz, the man might have been credit he didn't deserve for Iron Dome but he is the kind of far left Livni doesn't want. The reason he had a tantrum with Shelly is because he wanted her to promise she would never join any Netanyahu right wing government and she said whilst its unlikely she would she will never rule anything out. Livni hates Bibi but she will do whatever it takes to advance her career and if she thinks joining Bibi's coalition will help her she will. The winner from this move is Shelly because its one less radical leftist on the Labor ticket especially one she did't like.
4. George Bernard Shaw

On addressing a group of politicians. "I always thought of another profession as the oldest until I encountered you". For those who are hard of comprehension. Politics and prostitution are one and the same thing.

I hope neither of them attain a seat in the next parliament.
6. what the "center-left" now says
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (12.06.12)
"If some European pols have a tantrum over building in Pisgat Ze'ev and Gilo...don't build anything in Pisgat Ze'ev and Gilo." And they call themselves "center-left" and sometimes even "center." They have nothing left to differentiate themselves from the "right of center" except some twerps shouting Marxist slogans in the streets of Tel Aviv, and taking the side of Francois Hollande and Angela Miracle (a miracle that she is leader of a country) when they harass Israel. Tzipi, Shelly, Amir...I care little which one hops into and out of which other one's bed. Just that they get what they deserve on election day. Total electoral oblivion.

Livni and Peretz are an embarrassment to Israel! Why can't these two losers just go away?
9. Bravo
teddy ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.06.12)
Peretz has exposed "that woman' for what she really is. IE no peace process and taxed to the eye teeth to further her extreme world view ie more settlements and a childish conception that everything can be subsidised.

12. Peres and Labor
Chris ,   Austria   (12.06.12)
Yahimovich declared that Labor party will care about social problems and would stay in the center. What about her promises now when Peres is number 2 and already demand from her to turn left? BTW Peres is still a president? He has no right to make political statements! Is any law in Israel is a joke?

NudNik69   (12.06.12)
Say and think what you will about Bibi, etc. but Livni and especially Peretz...UNBELIEVABLE. These morons together with Olmert were the WORST EVER. Pathetic. Short memories, very , very low grade.

18. The Knesset
Dr D ,   Jerusalem   (12.06.12)
Our parliament is one of the most incredible institution in the world. The democratically elected members range in their ideals from wanting the destruction of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian State to those who would like to see a Great Israel with no Arabs. Some members don't care for the poor, other would like to see the wealthiest pay for all the poor. Some only care fort the privileges the Ultra Orthodox secured them selves. Every time a decision is made and put to work the MKs love to establish committees and argue for years about the outcome. Nothing will change the next elections. The lams will vote for the donkeys, the hyenas, the snakes, the vultures as well as for some criminals and sex offenders. .

22. to those condemning Peretz
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.06.12)
It is unfair to condemn Peretz. First, unlike Zippy Livni he is not stealing anyone's votes or money. He is quitting the Knesset (so he does not get election funding) and joining a party before elections so the people can decide. And the reason he quit is not greed like Zippy. All he did was demand that Yehimovich publically state what her plans were. Her refusal to do so proves that Peretz' fears are true: Yehimovitch is another power-hungry hack. I never thought I would say it, but Peretz is the most honest member of the extreme-Left.
23. #12 two different people
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.06.12)
The article is about Amir Peretz, former union leader and failed Defense Minister. Shimon Peres, the architect of the disastrous Oslo accords and who mocked children that were afraid of Hamas rockets is still the President.
24. Reservations about Livni
Sam ,   Kfar Saba   (12.06.12)
I certainly have many of those, however, anything has to be better than Bibi who is leading this country to disaster and destruction. How bad does it have to get for people in this country to realise that greater Israel ideologies are a pipe dream?? Bibi and Lieberman have to go - they have committed untold damage on this country!
25. Avoda is getting younger and more flexible

without all the old egomaniacs! Whereas HaTnua is becoming the party of the ones who don't lose well.
26. #22 Israeli Israel
JewishHeart ,   Bet Shemesh, Israel   (12.06.12)
You are wrong about Peretz. I'm right wing as well and Bibi has secured my vote just by the mere statistics on how good the country is each time he is in charge of a certain ministry (finance, PM, etc.). Peretz bankrupted Israel with his horrible Histadrut strikes in the early 2000s....trying to block Bibi's reforms...(which by the way worked and thank God we are not like Greece or the USA now). Peretz may be better than Shelli....but he sold himself like a slave to Zippi. Can't you at least fault Peretz with associating himself to the prostitute of politics? Guilty by association!
27. Double Crossing
Samuel ,   Israel   (12.06.12)
I am sick & tired reading, hearing & seeing the parties just trying to stab one another in the back. As they say in Hebrew "They will sell their mother" in order to get to the to the highest seat.Shame on all the politicians. All of a sudden nobody cares about the welfare or defence of our tiny little country. Can you trust Hamas as to their next move? How many new tunnels have they started re-building? Enough is enough.

29. Sore Loser Party
Ellen ,   Israel/NYC   (12.06.12)
Livni and company are now a party of individuals who ran to lead their former parties, and lost. Like children in the playground they picked up their toys and went to play elsewhere. Again, like children some of their friends followed them. The only thing they didn't say ( or maybe they did) was, 'na, nah, nah, na, nah--I don't need you" The thing for the voter to consider is their lack of ethics. Individuals who have no ethics, no loyalty to the party and care only about themselves will continue this same behavior if allowed back into the Knesset. It is in their DNA, it is who they are. The country and what is best for it--meaningless! They care only for themselves and their egos.
