1. oh really
SA ,   USA   (12.06.12)
Oh, by unilateral moves do you include the Palestinians becoming recognized by the UN? Not a viable state? Only if they insist on East Jerusalem as their capital which they will never get. Any reason Ramallah won't do?
2. Say what
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.06.12)
Merkel is quoted as saying "Unilateral moves should be avoided". She is right: the most basic part of the Oslo accords is that unilateral moves are forbidden. Abbas, with support of Merkel and her allies, exactly did a unilateral move that emptied the Oslo Accords of any meaning. Merkel should be condemning Abbas and supporting Israel's justified and very mild reaction to this violation.
3. BIBI YOU ARE BIGER THEN LIFE.
MM ,   ISRAEL   (12.06.12)
4. No reason Israel has to announce their building plans
Chaim   (12.06.12)
Build and shut your mouth!!!!!!! Everyone kinows that ALL OF ISRAEL belongs to Jews. Bibi's only concern should be what is beneficial for Jews. Arabs will be upset even if you give them all of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa. Why should Israel care about it? The Europeans don't like it, let them to all Arabs into their countries.
5. EAST AND WEST BERLIN RING A BELL FRAU MERKEL?
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (12.06.12)
Dumb kraut.
6. Agree to disagree
graczek ,   Maryland, USA   (12.06.12)
Netanyahu has just given the world community what it has long needed: The impetus to break all relations with "Israel", establish worldwide BDS as official policy, and move to place the entire mandatory Palestine under enforceable UN Trusteeship pending its conversion to a Muslim-Christian state. These actions should start NOW.
7. If I were Merkel standing there and listening to Nitin-Yahoo
Marwan ,   Tel Aviv, Palestine   (12.06.12)
I would feel like a humiliated little puppet! She absolutely has no dignity.
8. Europe supports Israel but not Occupation.
anonymous ,   TX, USA   (12.06.12)
When will Netanyahu and Israeli public get it. Europe does support Israel right to exist and its security. But Europe does not support occupation of Arab lands, West-Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza, because they also support the 2 state solution. It is when some Israeli think that occupied territories are part of Israel that they will come face european different point of view.
9. Obama's hand at play
Tom W ,   USA   (12.06.12)
The coordinated action by the West against Israel was orchestrated by Obama. By hiding behind the EU he wants to maintain his good relations with the 70% Jewish voters and their money. I believe Obama is a pure but calculating evil of the Machiavelli type.
10. merkel
(12.06.12)
you stated that you "disagree with unilateral moves" how on earth would you explain your "silent" vote at the un??????????? was not that your message of a unilateral move by your country in favor of mahmoud abbas? what is good for the goose is also good for the gander, no? you are allowed your unilateral move without any answer or consequences from the israeli government? by the way, in case you forgot, germany has the least right to interfere in israel or they way jews live. get that? never again. israel is not going to committ suicide so that your arab oil keeps flowing. go away.
11. the worst crisis in the world
Arn ,   Yehud, Israel   (12.06.12)
Egypt is imploding. Syria now on the verge of using chemical weapons to kill anyone still breathing there. Iran pushing ahead to build nuclear weapons, Riots in Tunisia and rebel armies in Lybia using American arms sold to Qatar. Unrest in Yemen, killing in Sudan, and Jordan a tinderbox about to set this whole area afire... And what interests the world is the worst crisis of all - Israel holding on to Jerusalem and its building plans there. Without a sense of humor it would be impossible to get through the day.
12. Dear Angela Merkel
USA   (12.06.12)
Do you think 22 Arab states on over 99.9% of Mid East land (holding 16% of world oil) is already enough? Do you not think that 22 Arab states and 1 Iranian one, 23 Islamic states all ganging up on tiny Israel is way lopsided and encourages constant genocidal bullying by Muslims against the tiny population of Jews and Christians right smack in their midst? Do you not understand why teeny tiny surrounded Israel has been forced to be armed to the teeth? Do you not see the real cause of tension and obstacles to peace in the Midddle East (and the world)? HINT: it is not the Jews nor the Christians!!!
13. #11 - summed up nicely.
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (12.06.12)
14. If good for one, good for the other.Unilateral moves UN OK!
EST ,   Miami USA   (12.06.12)
15. Just build them!
Carlos ,   Tijuana, Mexico   (12.06.12)
Why Israel has always to ask all these other nations for permission to do their own business? Just build them!! There are more important things to worry about like climate change and the massive destruction of our ecosystems (those are really threats to our own existence). I stand with Israel.
16. Bibi's voyages
Avramele   (12.06.12)
Only the PM and FM of Israel travels the world in "insult tours" never missing the moment to dis their hosts. I guess he did learn something from his pathetic pal Romney. Lieberman's performance at the Saban Forum in Washington was by all accounts an embarrassing display of mini-putinism confirming his status as the most inappropriate FM the state has ever had. With disruptive settler leader Bennett likely to be in the next government, the trinity will be complete - father, son and poltergeist.
17. #6 graczek
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (12.06.12)
I have given your sorry ass more than enough impetus to leave the computer you're hiding behind and get your butt over there to do somehting about it BTW- The Computer your hiding behind, your cellsphone all contain compoents designed or made in Israel, including many airplane compnents that are used by the USA & Arabs Stop using them
18. To nr 6 Graczek
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (12.06.12)
To transplant your sick brain should start now !
19. #6
daniel ,   NY, US   (12.06.12)
Hey graczek , where is your family originally from and when did they migrate to Maryland? Judging by the tone of your words It makes one wonder your like for Israel.
20. #6--Racist from poland or a muslim!!
Don Rosenberg ,   Palatine USA   (12.06.12)
Your stupid racist criticism of Israel shows the world the Neanderthal man is still alive. If you are from poland, hopefully your racist country will be divided again and you can join the racist arabs ,occupying Israel ,with your whining and being parasites to the world community.
21. If EU/BOpressure IL then IL squeeze Pals till pips squeak
Alan ,   SA   (12.06.12)
If the EU try any boycott or pressure on Israel...then Israel must put every sanction and pressure on the Pals. We dont need a repeat performance of 1930s and 1940s from such trash as Hitlers European heirs
22. Germany had chance to oppose "one-sided move" by PA
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (12.06.12)
Germany chose to abstain on the PA's own "one-sided move" at the UN. So it has no right to criticize Israel's response to same.
23. Germany has Principles
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (12.06.12)
Germany has principles, but they are highly attenuated. Germany hasn't objected to the Turkish genocide of Kurds, and it hasn't objected to the Egyptian persecution of Copts, and it hasn't objected to the wholesale killing of Shiites by Sunnis, and of Sunnis by Shiites. Germany didn't take note of the rockets being fired into Israel until Israel retaliated, which brought expressions of great concern. Germany just doesn't seem to apply its principles when it comes to Muslim countries, and to killing people. But Germany considers Israeli apartment and settlement building to be intolerable.
24. To: Don at No. 20
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.06.12)
Don't malign the Neanderthals -- they walked upright, and had brains that were larger than those of Cro Magnon man. Graczek walks on his knuckles, and no brain.
25. Now is the time for MASSIVE Judea/Samaria building.
Chaim ,   Israel   (12.06.12)
The real problem is not "the world". The real problem is that segment of Israeli Jews who don't accept the fact that Judea and Samaria are ours. The don't accept our more than 3,500 yerars of ownership. They don't accept the absolute proof by countless international law experts. That is their problem. Now is the time for MASSIVE Judea and Samaria building. This is our land now and forever. Let's act like it.
26. Are there any Christians in Germany?
Steve Klein   (12.06.12)
I wonder if Frau Merkel is a Christian. Has she read her Bible. Apparently few of Germany's Christians read the Bible during the nineteen thirties, early nineteen forties. I wonder if Chancellor Merkel has ever read the first book, the book of Genesis.
27. Among the EU leaders - Germans have the lowest morals!
Jouko ,   Finland   (12.06.12)
28. B"H ara-fat turned down the sweet deal, leftovers are fine
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (12.06.12)
fine for the arabs if there any left by the time they sit down to negotiate.
29. To Istvan, No 18
Gabe ,   Canada   (12.06.12)
Forgive Graczek. He is a poor idiot. He doesn't understand what he is talking about.
30. #6
daze ,   US   (12.06.12)
mr greazcek, your talkbacks are always so passionately irrational. After posting do you keep a towel handy to wipe the drool off your chin?
