1. "we've only enhanced the leftist bloc"
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (12.06.12)
EXACTLY the reason this bit of filth needs to be defeated at all costs! She'd say she's a 3rd Temple fanatic if it would get her elected. She only craves power & couldn't care less about the "public in Israel that feels it has no one to vote for".
2. Hell no we don' t want you in a Likud coalition....
Hila ,   Israel   (12.06.12)
in fact most Likudnicks don't even like Likud any more... Last thing we need are MORE leftists.
3. Bad experience vs. less experience
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (12.06.12)
Livni: "I offered a rotation which would allow the public to have two women – one with experience and one with less (experience)" So she's suggesting that she, with her mediocre performance record, is willing to set up a leadership rotation with someone having even *less* experience? Why would she imagine an Israeli public that wants strong leadership would want either of them?
4. Hooker politics
Ronnie ,   Australia   (12.06.12)
Anyone, anytime, just give me the power.
5. Easier on Haredi
zivron   (12.06.12)
LivnisList and Yesh Arid ought go softer on the Haredim who are not all fanatics and represent authentic traditioonal Judaism which sustained enormous murder in the Shoah.A less provocative approach dialogue and moral.pressure for Haredim to do forms of National community service in hospitals building shelters iron clad succot and extended Hatzollah are examples and. care for the Shoah elderly.
6. BUT....
Israeli 2   (12.06.12)
Amir Peretz left Shelly and joined Livni because Shelly might join Likud Beiteinu and Tzipi was firm not to. Conclusion: Amir Peretz makes the wrong moves with both women. He is screwed!
7. You have embarassed Israel so much in every crisis...
Jonathan   (12.06.12)
Please just go home. Really. The Israeli public does not like you. Be kind, and leave. Same for Peretz, btw. Some self-respect.
8. I have it on EXCELLENT authority...
Gideon Reader   (12.06.12)
...that for former Charwoman of the Kadimacrat Party is willing to accept a short term contract for the provision of maid service and general cleanup of the LikudBeytenu offices. Actually she could have saved some time and other peoples kesef by staying home and writing a polite letter to Bibi requesting an autographed photo.
9. When a leader has no goal...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (12.07.12)
whatever road, he takes, ends up nowhere. ISRAEL needs a LEADER with VISION.
10. She will bring in the vomit vote, if that is who you want.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (12.07.12)
11. This woman has too much time
Ezra ,   San Diego USA   (12.07.12)
on her hands. She should take a job supporting the IDF or something.
12. #9 : Hence, Bibi.
Israeli ,   Haifa   (12.07.12)
13. Livni wants just power . Israel doesn't need you !
(12.07.12)
14. Likud could have had over 60 seats
joseph ,   Australia   (12.07.12)
Had the Likud represented the desires of its voters faithfully, and vetted all incoming members as to their political affiliation, not putting people like the Olmerts, Livnis, Begins etc, they would now had over 60 seats and could do some real governing. They will remain mediocre if they can't see that.
15. NO NO NO AND AGAIN NO
(12.07.12)
He doesn't need you Faygele. You need him, that we know.
16. If you can'y beat them, join them
Jake B. ,   Cleveland, OH   (12.07.12)
Livni will do anything to make sure she doesn't become 'insignificant'; the nightmare of every megalomaniac. From Likud to Kadima, to "Hatnuah", and back to the Likud? With politicians like Livni, you never know what you're going to get because she herself doesn't know what she wants (aside from power).
17. My vote is going to the Pirates!
Avi Mizrachi ,   tel aviv, israel   (12.07.12)
With candidates like Livni, Lapid, Olmert, Deri and Peretz no wonder why the Pirates, the Potheads and the protesters will be the big winners in January.
18. Simple
Joshua ,   Nairobi - Kenya   (12.07.12)
"There's a public in Israel that feels it has no one to vote for and I entered the race to provide an alternative." Simple! She need not say anything else. Those without someone to vote for can vote for her. What percentage is that?
19. Everyone loves Bibi.......................
Asher ,   NY ,USA   (12.07.12)
20. No 18
joseph ,   Australia   (12.07.12)
I think that there are two Haaretz readers who have promised to vote for her. This is who she thinks will vote for her. They are the last of the Haarez readers that are left.
21. New Meretz campaign poster
Avi Mizrachi ,   tel aviv, israel   (12.07.12)
Did anyone see the new Meretz campaign poster "Leftists Go Home" (Smolanim Habayta)? Their chief strategist must be the same Likudnik who is advising Livni.
22. Again she wants to team up with Bibi ?
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (12.07.12)
Sorry but she sounds desperate.
23. Schlepping around, offering herself
tiki ,   belgium   (12.07.12)
Until now, nobody is picking up the merchandise, labeled Tzipi Livni.
24. Will this announcement bring about the Peretz Livni divorce?
zionist forever   (12.07.12)
The big problem that Peretz had with Shelly was that whilst she said she was unwilling to join a right wing coalition with Netanyahu she didn't rule it out. Peretz wanted her guarantees that she would not join, a kind of its immoral type thing. Livni has learned from her time at Kadima that if you sit on the sidelines and refuse to join coalitions then parties die and that is why Kadima will go from being largest party to one that probably won't pass the meager 2% threshold. Livni is also the female version of Lapid, this party has no real ideology other than to advance Livni's carer. Now lets see how Peretz reacts to this official announcement that Livni is willing to join a coalition with Bbi, will they still be holding hands like newly weds or making divorce plans so Peretz can be Mr Moral.
25. I offered to share the premiership
zionist forever   (12.07.12)
Last time Livni told Bibi she would join him in exchange for rotating the premiership which he refused. Now Livni tells Shelly I will join Labor in exchange for a rotating premiership which Shelly refused so Livni formed her own party rather than accepting the number 2 slot on the Labor list. Livni proves through her desire for a rotating premiership that she is not fit to run the country. When you have a rotating premiership for the sake of egos the losers are the general public because changing the PM midterm just causes disruption. What happens if Bibi / Shelly decided to take the country in a certain direction then after two years Livni takes over but wanting to make her mark in history she decides to go down a different path? Just when we have started going in one direction now we have made changed it so Livni can have her place in history. The likes of Livni and Lapid are the type of people who make the worst politicians because they put ego above the interest of the country.
26. Good old uncle Joe
Zivron   (12.08.12)
If the western democracies the USA and Britain could ally with Ivan the Terrible Livni can align with uncle Avigdor. The Arabs and Islami want their Falastin back with minimal Jews if the neutered karts are lucky. So national Unity of the Broad Centre is Good.
