1. Breakfast guide
(12.11.12)
Did he visit all the cities in Israel or just Tel Aviv?
2. Breakfast
zznhl   (12.11.12)
Ok, good job. You forgot to mention the traditional breakfast that's available all over Israel - Humus(and the various accompaniments that characterize each eatery that serve it). The difference in quality being measured by how long the ball of concrete decides to stay resident in your stomach(The shorter period of constipation means a better quality of Humus). Apart from that, you don't mention prices.... I'm not going to pay the same price as an evening meal in a restaurant for breakfast, no matter how good it is!
3. Certainly not Israel
Rain   (12.11.12)
This is about Tel Aviv breakfasts only and certainly not Israel. Apparently for the writer Tel Aviv = Israel, a fairly narrow perspective.
4. Benedict's should also be on here.
R ,   Israel   (12.11.12)
5. Wonderful....The BIG Israeli Breakfast!
Tim ,   Brighton   (12.11.12)

6. north
mike north ,   karmiel israel   (12.11.12)
Why do we not have the list in the north-we also enjoy seeking out the best breakfasts up here
7. Didnt realise this was just for Tel Aviv
Tim ,   Brighton   (12.11.12)
What I love about this article are the amazing photos...! Suggest the author contacts the JC and Jewish News to feature
8. This writer has some nerve..
Jake ,   Israel   (12.11.12)
I want to see him go to a Muslim country and write about their pork and watch him be skinned to death.. U come to a Jewish country.. It's bad enough there Is pork.. But u have to complain about it as well!!
9. News not fit for print
joe ,   great neck   (12.11.12)
Graet Article until you mentioned bacon. we all know it exists in Israel but it is a disgrace better left unspoken about. It certainly does not encourage people from the outside to visit. American jews will be shocked and non-jews wonder how we can disgrace the holy land. Good Job!
10. Where are Benedict and the Herods Hotel?
Kika ,   Tel Aviv   (12.11.12)
The *concept* of Benedict is gourmet breakfast 24hrs/day, and they have great food. The breakfast at the Herods Hotel-Tel Aviv has an amazing variety of salads and side dishes, and the quality/flavor of the food is superb!
11. Greater Tel Aviv
zznhl   (12.11.12)
What? Goodness gracious, you have internet outside Tel Aviv?....and restaurants? This is a constant problem with ynetnews.com. They don't seem to realize that at least half of their clientele live outside the confines of that great metropolis. Even American tourists travel to the edges of flat earth Israel.
12. #8, #9 you fell for it
(12.11.12)
The bacon and pig meat are mentioned to rile you up. Just ignore.
13. Why not for everyone?
Dani ,   Israel   (12.11.12)
you should know - i really enjoyed this piece. except for one thing was it on purpose? was it specifically targeting a certain type of Israeli; or, perhaps more correctly - were you specifically trying to EXCLUDE a certain type of Israeli?? why was there not a single KOSHER restaurant included in the list?? and don't try to say "because none of them MADE IT to the top however many"... because the follow up question would be - did the author even try ANY kosher restaurant at all? that's what i find disappointing about this article, to say nothing about the author...
14. Morten, yes to all but coffee...
Maria ,   Bologna, Italy (TLV)   (12.11.12)
I have always appreciated Israeli coffee but after a year in Italy I have to say, it doesn't taste anything like coffee... I suspect I have prepared your first Israeli homemade coffee ( i don't know whether it was shahor o moka) but Israeli coffee is more hot water and less coffee :)
15. Hmmmmm...
Danielle ,   centre   (12.11.12)
I really like this guy. He is a reporter writing a piece on a subject of his choice. It is his views and his outlook. No one has to read it. It is great to know that anyone, not just jews can live in Israel. A country must be defined by freedom. When I hear the comments and talkbacks on bacon, kosher, tel aviv...it sounds like poeple would prefer to live in a dictatorship. Cant say this, cant eat that... Well, I hate to say it but you make Israel sound like just another dogmatic and small minded, backward place. Now Im getting hungry...whats for breakfast....
16. to #8, #9 and a little bit #15
L ,   That place   (12.12.12)
He isn't complaining! He is suggesting. No one is forcing you to eat bacon, so stop being such a stuck-up jerk about it. If you don't like it, make your own list! Totally agree with you, #15.
17. Too bad from reading this article
Mitch ,   Jerusalem   (12.12.12)
You'll never try Zuni's insane French toast and bacon, or bourekas musa, kadosh to name a couple awesome places in Jerusalem. So sick of the tel aviv = Israel thing...
