Egypt is broke and starving. There is no propect for improvement. Better we should sell Israel more F-16s, who at least can pay for them, rather than Egypt, who cannot. What will Russia do with the failed state that is Egypt? Do they want to give away more weapons? Let Egypt sink. They surely no longer deserve any more U.S. taxpayer $$$.

What's that bit about 'interdicting smugglers' ? Hamas never seems short of rockets to mount terrorist attacks on Israel.There should have been a clear understanding as part of the POD cease-fire that Egypt would be more active in stopping missles reaching Hamas, otherwise no F-16 deal and let Israel get on with the job of securing its own safety.

it just boils down to " the love of money" . to sell military hardware such as these planes to a country that will someday without hesitation use them on us is out right idiocy. the planes should have been canceled when Mubarak left power.

I am strongly against the sale of any weapons to anyone who is an enemy to Israel. My prayer is that G_d gives the IAF the ability to take out the enemy before the enemy has a chance to do any harm. My apologies to Israel for our countries mistakes. May G_d bless Israel greatly.
