If every Israeli-Arab would vote for one of the Arab candidates in one of the three Arab parties, by proportion, they could be represented by 24 MKs, not 10 as currently. Why this low proportion? I'd say that some Arabs vote for non-Arab parties because they know that those parties are more involved in advocating on their behalf. The largest proportion of Arab-Israelis don't vote at all because they do not feel that any political party actually advocates for them. Now we get to Ms. Zoabi: She is so busy advocating for Arab non-citizens of Israel (Palestinian Arabs) that she leaves her own population behind. In other words, she does a disservice even to those who vote for her own party. To be fair, in this respect, Zoabi cannot be distinguished from most of the other nine Arab-Israelis who make up the three Arab parties: Ultimately, they don't represent their own respective constituencies. and, as a result, Arab-Israelis do not vote for them in anywhere near the proportion one might otherwise expect. Zoabi is simply the most egregious current example of Israel's poor Arab-Israeli MKs.
