Peggy ,   UK/Israel   (12.16.12)
us, we survived, Hardly Xmas! Xmas celebrates the birth of Jesus (also a Jew) and not all xtains do so on the day. Its just coincedence that the xtian date of 25th Dec, often falls on the Jewish date of Chanukka. BUT putting that aside, it is nice to see both London and Frankfurt light the menorah. Jews always respected the religion of the country they live in, never made demands to change laws etc, and nice to see some appreciation. Thank you.

It's only a question of goodwill. If you had christian friends, would you refuse to attend a christmas party ?

When you said : «they», you are talking about who ? If no christians fought the Nazis, you would not be behind your computer to hate christmas, grumpy !

What is it about Christmas that so sticks in your gut? No-one is asking you to celebrae christmas any more than you are asking Christians to celebrate Chanucah but christmas decoratins in stores, streets and front windows of people's homes are beautiful and can't help but give one a good feeling, just as any beautiful scene or picture would do. Decorations are a sign of people's joy and goodwill, something you feel should be reserved for Jews only. Obviously you have a problem with Christians and such an attitude could well explain why many Christians have a problem with Jews. Throughout my school years in Cardiff (UK) I used to spend Christmas day with my christian friend and her family and she used to come and celebrate one of the seder nights with my family. A little bit more understanding on your part could contribute a lot.
7. 4 Walt K If i had Christian...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (12.16.12)
sincere friends,i don t think they would mind that i don t participate to an event that is against my belief. I believe in ONE unique G-D,and feel i would betray Him by attending a party where another god is worshipped. Sorry Walt.I sincerely hope i don t hurt you. Having different beliefs should not be a reason to forsake real friends.
8. Chanukah & Christmas - How Great GOD is
Tova ,   Canada   (12.17.12)
Passover & Easter. We celebrate together. Only the GOD of Israel would make it possible. Both have alot in common. It's a question of what do you believe? Jesus is a Jew - no religion can change it. GOD gave birth to Jesus - he presents Israel and all the people who accept him as being Israel.
