Neither side can win war and heading from bad to worse a civil war that has left more than 40,000 dead the sanctions imposed on Syria are responsible for the suffering of the Syrian people, despite all these and bloody civil war, but the alternative is to Syria's much worse than Assad
2. Well, he would say that, wouldn't he?

3. as the SYRIAN VP, he prays that NEITHER side can win...nope!
Adam Balm ,   AMERICA THE BEAUTIUL   (12.17.12)
hey, schmucky, get your neck ready for the BIG STRETCH as your shallow leader the BUTCHER OF SYRIA comes to the end of his rope...with all his 50,000 dead, (unlike his puny crummy father with only 25,000 dead)... assad will be torn from his SPIDER HOLE, he'll GET HIS well DESERVED "GADAFY BROOMSTICK", AND ENJOY THE LAST FEW HOURS OF HIS MISERABLE EXISTENCE.... good riddance to awful garbage/sewage
4. Bingo, I found the solution!
Gabor ,   Budapest, Hungary   (12.17.12)
Oh yes, the conflict will be solved, just have a look at the most important cases the UN is taking care about at the moment. The conflict will be solved once the illegal occupation of Golan ends and the illegal settlements built on Palestinian land will be demolished and the Palestinian people, who have lifed there for 35 thousand years, will be free, from the river to the sea!
5. 2 possibilities
zionist forever   (12.17.12)
The first is he is saying it on Assad's behalf in the hope that it might encourage the west to ease off if they think its going to be a stalemate...the man is desperate. I am a the man who has Assad's ear so put your trust in me and ease up on Assad for now to encourage him to listen to reason and make my job easier The other possibility is this guy knows Assad is on borrowed time but he has left it to long to flee Syria so he needs Assad's protection. Solution say its a stalemate so maybe the idiots in the west want me to be their mediator in exchange for a back door when the war is over. He probably has a couple of million in foreign bank accounts which are currently frozen so he wants access to his money, guarantees he won't be charged with any war crimes as long as he stays out of Syria.
