Egypt wanted the war in 1967 we just won it so it should be replaced with a memorial to the soldiers who fought trying to defend their country not the ones who died in a war of aggression.

It was at one time, decades ago, and Grand Mufti Al-Husseini himself removed the sanctity of the site in order to build a palace for himself. If he can't remove the sanctity, then who can? Those remaining buried there, at the far end of the area, away from any construction, were offered to be removed and re-buried at a Muslim cemetery with full religious rites, at Israel's cost. Arabs usually just pave over cemeteries or destroy them entirely, like they do to this day on the Mount of Olives...and in Iran against the B'hai cemeteries.
