Egypt urges Israel not to destroy West Bank memorial     Roi Kais
1. Arabs have a lot of money
so, they can spend it for such essential investments. No problem they are starving.
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (12.17.12)
2. Wrong info
There were no Egyptian troops in the West Bank in the 1967 Six-Day War...
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (12.17.12)
3. Another atempt to wipe out our history
Abdalla   (12.17.12)
4. Monument site
The decision to remove the momument, and hence the attendant publicity, will result in the monument becoming a pilgrimage site attracting Arabs and Palestinians. Anyway,so what.
Get Real ,   UK   (12.17.12)
5. Egypt please learn from Asad
Asad supported the Palestinian resistance for more than 65 years and now the Palestinians stabbed him in the back.
Abu Yousuf el Dugri   (12.17.12)
6. In 1949 Arabs uprooted tombstones and...
built roads through a Jewish cemetery,so why now big deal about a West Bank memorial...
Ivan ,   South Africa   (12.17.12)
7. replace it with a memorial to Israeli soldiers
Egypt wanted the war in 1967 we just won it so it should be replaced with a memorial to the soldiers who fought trying to defend their country not the ones who died in a war of aggression.
zionist forever   (12.17.12)
8. No Egypt memorial unless Egyptian synagogues are reopened.
The obvious negotiating point here is that if Cairo wants Israeli cooperation on this matter, they must immediately reciprocate by reopening the Alexandria synagogue that Morsi shut down to regular, unhindered Jewish worship, and also stop interfering with Jewish religious pilgrimages to the tombs of Jewish sages in Egypt.
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (12.17.12)
9. Like an Al-Qaeda monument in NY for the dead 9/11 terrorists
Jake ,   USA   (12.17.12)
10. Egypt should destroy the idf menorial in the Sinai & turn it
BDS   (12.17.12)
11. #6 Jews destroyed Arab cemetery in 2011 to build the so-cal
Museum of Tolerance. The whole cemetery was bull-dozed. Tombs ground to dust.Head stone smashed.
SDB   (12.17.12)
12. They should leave it as a reminder to the
not too bright "palestinians"...this is what happens when arabs start wars with Israel. They die.
A ,   Belgium   (12.17.12)
13. Send the bodies back to Egypt where they belong.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles   (12.17.12)
14. Finally the truth comes out
The majority of Arabs who call themselves "Palestinian" are in fact Egyptian (like Yasser Arafat).
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (12.17.12)
15. 11
Its a shame the arabs have no tolerance for others. There is also a difference between bulldozing a cemetery because you need the land ( it happens in other countries also ) and taking headstones to use to build roads and only taking Jewish headstones.
zionist forever   (12.17.12)
16. Hamas: "Egypt will remain in our hearts"
Of course, because as Haniyeh pointed out, most Gazans ARE infact Egyptians. And what better group to have in your hearts are those who also tasted massive defeat at the hands of the Jews.
William ,   Israel   (12.17.12)
17. #3 - don't worry. You'll just re-create it
like the rest of your "history" that has little factual basis. As #2 pointed out - there were NO Egyptian troops in the West Bank during the 1967 war, so the memorial might as well be built on the moon. More Arab revisionism.
William ,   Israel   (12.17.12)
18. #11 - you can't even spell your own pseudonym
so one can't expect you to get facts straight. There was no cemetery in the area of the Museum of Tolerance. It was at one time, decades ago, and Grand Mufti Al-Husseini himself removed the sanctity of the site in order to build a palace for himself. If he can't remove the sanctity, then who can? Those remaining buried there, at the far end of the area, away from any construction, were offered to be removed and re-buried at a Muslim cemetery with full religious rites, at Israel's cost. Arabs usually just pave over cemeteries or destroy them entirely, like they do to this day on the Mount of Olives...and in Iran against the B'hai cemeteries. But I guess you were in such a rush to comment you missed such facts.

20. #5 Mubarak and Sadat supported Israel, look at them now
One is in the ground and the other is slowly rotting away in Egypt's worse prison. Assad was an Alawite, Hamas an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood are Sunnis. The Syrian rebels are also mostly Sunnis, get it?
Truther ,   UK   (12.17.12)
21. Clean out that garbage !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.17.12)
22. to #2, Your memory is weak
in 1984, Nasser and mate soldiers were fighting in the outskirts of Tel Avive, and got to have fun time during their leave in Ramallah.
observer ,   Egypt   (12.17.12)
23. muslim cemetery
last year I walked past a muslim cemetery in jerusalem and saw garbage everywhere, people sleeping between graves, toilet paper all over the ground. It didn't look like hallowed ground to me...Just another garbage area with muslim graves and markers
