Sherlock Holmes ,   London England   (12.17.12)
'if a Muslim insisted in praying at the Western Wall' Muslims pray on the Temple Mount, which is much holier to Jews than just the Western Wall -- and we do nothing to interfere. 'as if to show the other side this is ours' The graves of Aharon and Moses are Jewish sites -- although we don't know the exact site of Moshe's grave. Why is praying with a tallis and tefillin 'provocative'?
3. haha jordan care about their safety !!
Salma ,   State of Palestine   (12.17.12)
not so cute but what they are wearing is their problem ,the good thing about Haredim is that most of them don't work or serve in the army :)

8. That's odd
steve from raleigh   (12.17.12)
Usually the Nazis and Arabs have demanded we where specifically different clothing with badges and stars and special hats so they can know who to abuse. Now that's not good enough for them because we embrace our identity. Lets outlaw all distinctly 'Islamic' garb in Israel then. What are they going to do? Scream to the UN and the Guardian about how awful we are? Oh wait, they do anyway.
9. provocation
Dan ,   Rimonim   (12.17.12)
So a religious Jew is not to wear religious clothing nor conduct religious ceremonies, let Israel reciprocate and not let Arabs dress in religious clothing nor conduct religious ceremonies. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
10. Now these guys know how women feel, when they tell them they
can't dress ,   anyway they want :)   (12.17.12)
11. I'll bet these restrictions don't apply to Neutrei Karta
Mark ,   London, UK   (12.17.12)
It's all political, not religious.
12. hmmm...the Jordanians are w/the Women of the Wall....
Israela ,   Israel   (12.17.12)
yes, I see it clearly. Since the Orthodox Jewish Men at the Western Wall see it as a provocation that the Reform Jewish Women of Wall wear tallit and kippah. The Jordanians have understood that the same rule may be applied to Jewish men. What is (not) amusing about this is that both groups use similar loud and insecure behaviors to get their point across. (Oh don't be like that deep in your heart you know I am 100% on point!)
13. inaccurate
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.17.12)
It is not that the clothing is provocative. It is just if a Jordanian suspects you are a Jew, you will be attacked. Isn't peace wonderful?
14. A reciprocal arrangeent for Muslim visitors to Israel
Marianne ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.17.12)
Every year, thousands of Muslim tourists visit Israel, dress and worship freely.

Does abdallah know what a Sudra is? This Outdates the kaffiyeh By A Mere 2000 years. Your Raceist arab policies should be Taken by Israeli Government! No worship on The Temple Mount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17. Just BEING Jewish is considered 'provocative' in their eyes.
(12.17.12)
imagine if any western country would tell muslims not pray on the streets (like many do in the streets of paris) in fear of 'islamic provocation', can you imagine the uproar? but it's okay when muslims do it.
18. In the same vein, moslem women should not be

Walter ,   Germany   (12.17.12)
If a Jordanian suspects you are a Jew he's afraid you start to build a settlement and steal his land. There are several churches in Jordan. Obviously they just have a problem with one specific religion.
23. If this was a European counry...
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.17.12)
... we'd recall our ambassador, and probably close the embassy permanently.
24. Real message is that Jews are provocative to hateful Muslims
Chaim Ben Kahan ,   Efrat, Israel   (12.17.12)
It's not how Jews dress, but Jews themselves that provoke some Muslims. The fact is that Jordan which exists on the East Bank of Israel has an issue with indigenous people praying at their holy sites, because it demonstrates how the land of Jordan is part of Israel. It also reveals that the hatred of Jews is prevalent in the East Bank.
25. Walter 13 . To build you need to bring
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (12.17.12)
other things than tefilin or a praying shawl . Several churches in jordan ? There are dozens and dozens in Israel .
26. Jordan is an illegal state entity set up by the British..
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.17.12)
...Empire in the 1920s. "Jordan" is derived from the name of the river "Jordan" or "Yarden" in Hebrew. "Al Urdunn" is derived from Yarden which means the Arab Kingdom of Jordan has a Hebrew name. On top of that, no Jordanian state has existed in recorded history just like the fake ersatz "Palestinians". Jordan is built on 78% of the Jewish Homeland. The San Remo Treaty of April 1920and the Anglo-American treaty signed 3rd of December 1924 in London UK are two legally binding documents recognized by international law (but "forgotten" by the "world community" which violates these two treaties on a daily basis) that stipulate that the legally defined borders of the Jewish State will be Cis-Jordan (Israel within the "green line" plus Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Gaza and Golan Heights), Trans-Jordan (meaning the political mistake called the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan whose' royal Hashemite family comes from Saudi Arabia) and southern Lebanon up until the bend of the Litani river. That means Israel has full legal right to drive out the Arabs of Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Gaza, Golan, southern Lebanon and Jordan. It is not illegal to drive out the Arabs. It is illegal to let them stay there. We can also back up our legal claims with 4000 years of Jewish history which in turn is backed up by ancient Israelite/Hebrew/Jewish Biblical/non Biblical sources plus ancient Egyptian, Hittite, Babylonian, Assyrian, Philisteene, Phoenician, Canaanite, Edomite, Persian, Greek, Roman and Arab sources.
