The middle class in Israel is shrinking; lots of families can't afford to put food on the table because of heigh taxes and food cartels. But the government of Israel is reporting a surplus of money. I think something is very wrong here. I wonder if anyone else can do the math?

This announcement is a bit strange when you consider that Israel will be spending millions to replace, repair, and add military weapons used up in the Gaza operation. Iron Dome works real well, but each interceptor costs thousands, plus jet fuel, etc. The 3rd quarter may have been profitable, but the 4th was not financially profitable.

It's the difference between exports and imports . Look also at the previous numbers where there was a deficit , that means more goods imported than exported .
