As much as I am not a fan of settlement construction, we are condemned either way we might as well just ignore it and do what's best for our country. Rockets, bombs on civilian buses, attempted kidnappings of soldiers a checkpoints, attacks of families in their homes when they sleep faces little international criticism. A little construction in an area that may be disputed as Palestinian but was never Palestinian and was actually Jordanian once rightfully seized from an attacking army in war. My only concern is about the safety of the soldiers that will have to guard this area. No sympathy for the Palestinians , they aren't worthy of any when they plot to kill us on a daily basis more then advance themselves in education etc. Truth be told, politics or not, our land or theirs, historic or not, Israel will be far more productive for it then the Palestinians ever would!

i want to see the US tackle the massive assault weapons problem they have. I want to see them change their mentality and deal with their own extremists... Then, and ONLY THEN can they give us instructions on how to do what !

The PA abandoned the 'Oslo 'peace' Accords mechanism of land for peace by refusing to hold talks these past 4 years and going to the UN for symbolic statehood. When Israel transferrred Gaza to the PA, the latter were unable to control it and were driven out in gunbattles with hamas. The Gaza terrorists have fired thousands of rockets into Israel. Both the PA and hamas' actions are fatal to the any land for peace process. In rresponse Israel issues 'plans to build' no actuall building yet the world condemns. The world does not condemn the PA's unilayeral moves nor take steps to stop Gaza rockets which threaten Israel's civilian population. In the face of such world hypocrisy, Israel acts to protect its people's defense.

Regardless of what Israel's enemies do, Israel will always be blamed. Recently, We have seen multiple violations of OSLO by the PLO-Hamas. We have seen rockets fired into our cities, and the PLO went to the UN which is against every agreement signed under OSLO. Meanwhile, Israel develops settlements which are allowed under OSLO and are condemned? This is blatant antisemitism and anti-Israel methodology. Area E-1 was always destined to be part of Israel in any agreement. Rabin made this clear to Arafat and Arafat signed OSLO knowing this, so what has changed???

Multistory apartments and condos, terraced houses and obviously long term housing is planned urban expansion. A collection of shacks, tents and trailers / caravans is a settlement. What Israel is building are permanent homes. That makes this urban expansion. It is Israeli land adjacent to existing Israeli cities. This is urban expansion. Urban expansion is the sign of a healthy economy and a growing population, What the arabs are preaching is jealousy and hatred. What the United States want Israel to do is irrelevant since Israel is not part of the US.
