1. Was this in the Wahington Post or the Likud Post??
Ramzi Jaber ,   Palestine   (12.19.12)
It's time that Congress, the White House, and the US press move to Tel Aviv where they seem to fit better, defending and advocating for Israel instead of the US..........
2. US Military
Henry ,   Cavite, Philippines   (12.19.12)
It is unthinkable for the US military establishment to stage a coup and throw Obama out of the WH. But in these end times the unthinkable seems to have a nasty habit of occurring in our midst. This scenario is bound to happen if Obama chicken out in a face off with Russia or if the US economy collapses and there is nothing more to pay the military their usual perks or maybe both scenarios may occur at the same time to reinforce a coup decision among the top military leaders. This could be the trigger to a WW3.
3. Interference Into US Foreign Affairs
World Citizen ,   the world   (12.19.12)
It sounds like the NYT and WP are propaganda arms of the Israeli government / Bibi's Likud Party. Remember Barack Obama doesn't face re-election and those pro-Israeli American senators do. The voters may get fed up with their antics and retire them or force them to register as agents of a foreign government.
4. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.19.12)
What's the matter? Does it offend you that the vast majority of Americans despise the ersatz "Palestinians?" Perhaps you should change your violent, terrorist ways. So, you had your vote on November 29th. Any country cough up some cash yet? I think not. And Israel will no longer support you. What's an ersatz "Palestinian" terrorist thug to do? Dear, oh, dear. You're toast. Just a lot of jabber-jabber. Start packing, ace. Quickly, before all the best slums of Amman are taken.
5. #1 Seems that the Europe media is one big Cairo Al-Ahram
hippocrates ,   earth   (12.19.12)
6. Hagel not bought by AIPAC, israel or jewish lobby. An
BDS   (12.19.12)
American-Firster, a rare bird in US Congress. Jews saying "how dare Hagel put the USA ahead of israel"
7. #3 bizarre opinion
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.19.12)
In your bizarre world an American can't have a pro-Israeli opinion without being un American, even though facts show that American interests are Israeli interests. Here's a case. The US supported Sadat and Khomeni against Israeli interests. Iran almost immediately became an American enemy, and now Egypt has collapsed into the arms of the Brotherhood. It is now clear that it would have been much better for the US to take a pro-Israel stance.
8. Hagel: an other misguided thinker on tyrants
Alan ,   Canada   (12.19.12)
Hagel's stance to negociate with the likes of Hamas & Iran is in line with that of Obama & others who believe one can achieve any lasting reliable compromise with dictatorial regimes even in the case of fanatic theocracies. They also believe cozying with the likes of Morsi in Egypt will bring democracy to these countries ruled by zealots. The consequences of these Washington policies may boomerang even before the end of the term of the current administration which would defeat the hope of those politicians relying for survival on kicking the can down the road.
9. 1
(12.19.12)

10. 2
(12.19.12)
no interference whatsoever. these senators that object to his nominations are christian and jewish american democratic and republican senators, not israelis.
11. 6
(12.19.12)
hagel is not supported by most democratic and republican USA SENATORS AND LAWMAKERS. aipac and israel have nothing to do with it.
12.  Washington Post or AIPAC's Israel firsters ? ,...
split ,   US   (12.19.12)
13. # 2 ,...

I would go for disinfestation of both houses to get rid of moles and maggots to start with, AIPAC, neo-con-artists and Israel firsters would be next on my list ,...
