Bennett said he would not obey immoral orders to uproot Jews from their homes and property like thousands of law-abiding Jews were disgracefully uprooted from Gush Katif, August 2005. Furthermore Bennet said he is willing to pay the price / suffer the consequences for not following immoral orders. This is what a good and a moral soldier does. Shame on all his critics.

The IDF has a code of ethics, which you swear to uphold as a soldier near the beginning of your service, called Ruah Tzaha"l. In that code of ethics, in the section entitled "Discipline," there are very clear rules about having to follow all orders unless they are "clearly/expressly/patently illegal" (בלתי חוקיות בעליל). That leaves no room for a personal moral compass; as long as the order is legal, you have to follow it. Even when it's illegal, but the results of its being carried out would be reversible, you are still required to follow it and then later you can lodge a formal complaint. All this praising Bennett for being ready to willfully violate a document he swore to uphold is unpatriotic hogwash.
