I hope they're not being raised for the canned hunt scammers, unfortunately so many breeders overbreed because cubs bring in visitors. There's one White Lion Trust that is trying to return white lion stock to the wild and having very limited success, mostly because even the preserve at Timbavati is too small to protect the few lions who can live there from angry farmers who want more land for their cattle herds.If you REALLY care about lions, invest your charity dollars in programs to preserve what little of their natural habitat remains in India and Africa before the species goes extinct in the wild. Timbavati is nice, but it's better for these cubs to cross them with normal tawnies and not keep breeding rare freaks.

I agree, especially about the possibility of canned hunts and the practicality of crossing them with tawnies for the sake of their own survival. Is the trust you referred to the Global White Lion Protection Trust? This is something I would like to follow. For right now, though, these cubs are bright little lights in a very dark world. May they be ever protected.
