1. fascinating article
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (06.25.13)
"Arab culture is famous for hospitality" As 100000 Syrians can attest. "Often foreign nationals receive a warm welcome from Palestinians" I wonder if the massive transfer of foreign taxpayers cash to Aab bank accounts have anything to do with that?
2. oh, what a terrible occupation
celine w ,   austria   (06.25.13)
the blond danish guy in the video said it all: "it is a nice city, it has a good reputation"..of course, it does..normal town, people well dressed, well fed, no life danger for these so-called activists.. one can go there to raise ones own self-esteem, feel like an "activist", at the same time have a good time partying and getting invited by the locals....nice "fight" against the "occupation"
3. Anyone remember the lynches?
Israeli grandma   (06.25.13)
The carefully suppressed public demos in Ramallah, the intimidation and arrest of local journalists, and of course the public hanging of a "collaborator" from the antenna in the centre of Ramallah? Thought not.
4. Megacities
Zechariah   (06.25.13)
The Palestinians in The West Bank of the Jordan need Megacities with Top Class Hospitals and Free Universities Protected by the Israeli USA and NATO Nuclear Umbrella especially if we examine Syria and some Palestinian Jihadi and Ba'ath Fatah Psychopaths .
5. The real test of our progress
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.25.13)
Is when we realise that the road to Statehood will come from direct negotiation and direct and open contact with Israel at all levels In these days of greater Global Interdependence the mindset of creating these 'we don't need them mental barriers' against cooperation with Israel is absurd because although it might satisfy PA politicians pride it does not serve our national interest With cooperation the West Bank could re boot employment, transport connectivity, water and power projects etc As for trade..We have the means to develop an invaluable Conduit in Ramallah for Israeli Goods and Services to Arab Markets...which would be worth billions to the PA Economy So why are we waiting?
6. I love the part...
Ilan ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (06.26.13)
where the guy from Texas complains the palestinians don't have water resources unfortunately! ahhhh, yeah guy! that's because you are in the middle of a desert!
7. to #5 yeah but none taks about how much
ghostq   (06.26.13)
palis contribute to Israel, they just don't want to nor to accept jew in the WB as minority.
8. "Arab culture is known for its hospitality"
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (06.26.13)
Yes its very hospitable of the Arabs to invent a "Palestinian" people that has never existed in recorded human history in a land that has never belonged to the Arabs/"Palestinians" in the first place in order to establish a "Palestinian" state that has enver existed in recorded history. The Arab culture is alien - not native to Israel. Does this Arab "hospitality" include anti-Semitism, massacres on thousands of Jews for the past 1400 years, discrimination and persecution of Jews for 1400 years, denial of the Holocaust, Arab wars of aggression against Israel in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, 1991, 2006, 2009 and 2012 and theft/denial of 4000 years of Jewish history in the Land of Israel - which happens to include Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem, Golan and Gaza? Both the visiting European tourists and the local Arab residents of Judea and Samaria are FOREIGNERS in OUR JEWISH HOMELAND. And concerning the guy from Texas who compains that the Palestinians don't have water: it is an arid region - a desert. There is very little water to be found in Egypt, North Africa, Syria, Iraq and Arabia as well. There is also very little water to be found in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and major parts of California. I guess he can blame these natural phenomena on "occupations".
