Esteron makes perfect sense, but sense counts for very little in Israel
2. Funding for ?
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.27.12)
A very cogent and concisely stated argument. Pity that most people react on an emotional and not a logical and well thought out basis during elections.
3. Bottom line
Yehuda ,   Ashdod, Israel   (12.27.12)
A couple of points. The budgets for so-called cultural events and secular education are so far beyond the few pennies thrown to the Haredim and Yishuvim, that these should surely be cut drastically to have any kind of real effect on the budget deficit. In addition, look at the yerida rates among Haredim and those who live in Yishuvim. Now compare them to the yerida rate of your average secular, liberal, college-educated Israeli. Notice anything? The papers are decrying the brain drain. How about supporting those people who will remain to build Eretz Yisrael?
4. It's good news...
David Gilstern ,   NY   (12.27.12)
It's good news that some Israelis really understand the dangers the Jewish stae is facing. Best column I've read in Israeli media this year.
5. World Dilemna
