1. After Olmert
Zecharia   (12.27.12)
After Olmert things look cleaner in Israel now that that Avigdor is being chased.its time for the Jews to set up a Future Fund like Bill and Melinda Gates and Zuchenberg half to Jewish Needs half to Gentile needs since the Jews are threatened by Billions.
2. Ayalon is a Rasha/Opportunist & Infantile Stooge
My Planet Israel ,   LA-Jerusalem   (12.27.12)
It was Ayalon who destroyed Israel's relationship with Turkeu and after not being put on the ticket, conjured up some BS against Liberman. This is a dispicable leftist cause of great magnitude which the right must now assail with the gloves off. Israeli courts and politics have become an embarrassment.
3. Hey, after hearing maybe more witnesses
marcel   (12.27.12)
weinstein can have unlimited cracks at a defendant, before and after trial. its enough already. Weinstein can side with zoabi but sticks a knife into liberman. What a bloody ass and nakba lover. you didn't have the goods on liberman,s top trying to forge a heavier indictment. Now even if liberman did wrong, I hope he is acquitted cause endless prosecutions(except for serious cases) are unfair to defendants who do not have unlimited means. Lador would do israel a favour if he jumped off a building and took olmert with him.
4. Garbage, run for office Avi.
Miron ,   USA   (12.27.12)
Best PM seat advertisement ever.
5. Regardless of the outcome...
Daniel ,   JM   (12.27.12)
Regardless of the outcome, Lieberman will be remembered as a martyr, a victim of the political assessination. At least 20% of the voters, so called "Russians", see it as a naked attempt to prevent their representation in the government and treat this assault as open racism. The left shoots themselves in the foot from a main caliber gun. If they think that by this ethnically-motivated witch-hunt they can discredit Lieberman and push "Russian" voters to the left, they are sadly mistaken. If anything, they can push "Russians" further to the right, towards Naftali Bennet.
6. The problem in Israel
Rabbi Yakov Lazaros ,   USA   (12.27.12)
is that the Judiciary is controlled by leftists. A crook like Olmert who took envelopes stuffed with cash is given a slap on the wrist. Lieberman, on the other hand, is pursued with a venegance.
7. No Due Process From These Investigators
David ,   Israel   (12.27.12)
As one who has no connection to or rooting interest in Lieberman's issues (apart from a desire for good government), it is impossible not to be struck by the apparently criminal conduct of the investigators’ office. It seems inconceivable that criminal investigations with Israel's notorious "leaks" of information (more of a wide open flow, really) satisfy due process requirements. It is high time for a truly independent review of our police investigators' and prosecutors' activities with respect to the rights of those being investigated or accused. Such a committee, to be established and staffed by either of the other branches of government, should include non-Israeli lawyers who are known to be friendly to the Jewish state and who can make a well-informed comparison of investigators' and prosecutors' practices within Israel to comparable practices in other countries.
8. As soon as Lieberman decides to join Kadima
Paul ,   P.T.   (12.27.12)
there won't be any indictments against him anymore and all his problems will disappear.
9. Indictment
shreff ,   Vienna VA USA   (12.27.12)
I might be missing something, but I have never seen a news report on this subject that describes in plain English what is the allegation, and what is the law. This sounds more like something an Islamic country would cook up.
10. lierberman
don satisky ,   leesburg usa   (12.27.12)
he is a crook and an insult to your great country, and has no business being a major player in foreign affairs. he is laughed at as a token player in your disfunctional parlimentary system of elections. let him go back to being a bouncer in a night club. good riddance. have someone like your previous u.n. ambassador represent you in international circles, and you will raise your standing internationally.
11. #8 Paul
Ariel ,   Modi'in, Israel   (12.27.12)
I am looking for the "Like" button but it is nowhere to be found!! :)
12. #10 Good Riddence to Bad Rubbish!
(12.27.12)
I agree with you. Give him a one way ticket back to Russia, or one of the 9 countries that like to vote with Israel in the UN.
13. The Left rules the courts-Justice does
DT ,   TA Israel   (12.27.12)
not.
14. Lieberman
Collin Guin ,   Brighton East   (12.27.12)
Are there political motives by Prosecution and Police? Smells like a left socialist /labor adgenda
15. #10 Wrongly called Lieberman
Shalom ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.27.12)
"a bouncer in a nightclub", ignorantly repeating a lie. As a student at Hebrew University, Lieberman was asked by the student union to be a doorman at the student club. A year later he was promoted to manager of the club. All to his credit, but the lying Left deliberately misrepresents it. #10's comment is a typical example of spouting off without checking the facts.
16. How convenient
tiki ,   belgium   (12.27.12)
The case against Lieberman has been under 'investigation how many years? 10, 12, he has been acquitted of the most severe accusations, but a month before the election there is NEW EVIDENCE???????
17. I'm not sure I understand
Danny ,   London England   (12.27.12)
Why is it criminal for the Foreign Minister [Secretary of State] to have a say in appointing an ambasador? Don't they have to work together? Aren't these appointments political payoffs for support?
18. I think don satisky
Moragh   (12.27.12)
is looking for a nice backhander. My impression is that he must be some kind of a "squealer" and looks for more promotion. I loathe these kind of people. From his short remark, I do get a bad feeling about him.
19. to 11
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (12.27.12)
There is no "like" button on this board...Instead of the "like button", you click on the "Recommend this talkback"... All the best to you and yours in the beautiful Modi'n..
20. to 10
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (12.27.12)
Not even the Israeli Supreme court, able to prove Lieberman a crook, no matter how much they and all of the lefits in Israel, try. And why do you think they trying so hard now to put Avigdor "away" ? Because if elected (and chances are, he will), Liberman will be a "breath of fresh air" in the defense of the Jewish State and the foreign minister, Israel didn't have in decades, and desporately needs now...It is that simple, Satisky...But thanks for your support, not...
21. Liberman the master crook of the knesset
Haim ,   TA   (12.30.12)
Finally his criminal past catches up with him, any more charges and he qualifies to join Shas. Still he can go back to working in a night club as a bouncer where his talents will be put to better use.
22. Many Votes
Zecharia   (12.30.12)
In the future many votes will be cast from overseas for the security of a Jewish State in Eretz yisroel .
