I pass thru meah Shearim almost every day. One can see soldiers in uniform almost every day strolling down Meah Shearim street. I rarely see a patrol, however, but in ones and twos, they are there daily. I have never seen or heard anything like this, and i doubt the authenticity of this report.

When I lived near the border I went to school in Brasschaat and my mother would always send me to Antwerp before the Chagim (only times we ate kosher) to purchase the necessary goods at the kosher stores in the Hassidic quarter near the central station because it was far cheaper (and better quality-wise) than what passed for kosher food in the Netherlands.
