1. Peres offends by interfering in politics
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (12.30.12)
Seems to be wrong for this old Labour politician now in an honorary position to interfere by influencing voters for his political preference
2. On what planet Shimon?
Yosi ,   Gilo-Jerusalem   (12.30.12)
Boy, talk about being out of touch with reality! No, Shimon, only a small group on the left are in favor of a 2 state solution as you propose. Of course you and they are mostly in control of most of the media, aren't you?
3. I support a 2 state solution
Jacob E ,   Holon, Israel   (12.30.12)
But without land swaps, so what we annex from the west bank, we don't have to replace. Gaza is not part of the Palestinian state and if any rockets mortars, or any aggressive act comes out of the west bank then it is considered an act of war, and then they will be occupied again. Oh and there will be a nice big wall around the greater Jerusalem area. And since they wanted to be a separate country, you now need a visa to enter into Israel, good luck. That also applies to all palestinians who used to travel into Israel for work. Though I think the Palestinian villiages along the border should have a vote before the final borders are set if they want to be apaprt of the new Palestinian state and isolated from Israel of if they want to accept Jewish sovereignty and reject the future of living in a palestinian state.
4. If Abbas
eli ,   Yerushalayim   (12.30.12)
"is the only Arab leader to publically stand up and say that he is for peace and against terror", why should we speak to him at all? He will leave the office soon and others take over his place. His successors will reject every agreement with the " zionist enemy" and thas's it.
5. Majority
eli ,   Yerushalayim   (12.30.12)
... maybe the majority of the left and the arab citizens, but for sure not the majority Israel. We will see after the elections.
6. Over to you Ynet talk backers
Sam ,   Kfar saba   (12.30.12)
Spew your venom
7. 2 state solution
Gallula ,   Paris   (12.30.12)
I highly support this concept : Israel left to the Jordan river Jordan right to it. Most of the Palestinian are Jordan, Those who live in Judee and Samaria will turn their eyes to Jordan. No place for a Third artificial country which will lead to disaster and make no sense.
8. Jews want to hear Palestinians say they want peace not Peres
Sam ,   Canada   (12.30.12)
If Palestinians wanted peace which means accepting a Jewish majority Israel, they wouldn't need Peres or other Jews interpreting their motivations for them. They would clearly say it to Jews themselves. They don't. Not in public and not in opinion polls. If Palestinians want peace then a majority of them and their leaders will say so CLEARLY.
9. No PA state
Simantov ,   Jerusalem   (12.30.12)
That is not true. I disagree and say a PA state would ultimately be the end of Israel. If the PA want a state let them go to Jordan which ultimately also belongs to Israel. But enough baloney, the majority are opposed to a PA state.
10. bravo Peres
avramele   (12.30.12)
He will not turn 100 years of zionism over to a bunch of thugs, messianists, and know nothings.
11. Perez the "Judas"
Dan ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.30.12)
In every Jewish generation our people have suffered a "Judas", in our midst, and I am afraid our present one has been around for far too many generations and continues his 'perfidious' ways to the delight of Israel's enemies including our self-hating Jews.
12. Peres should move
D'D'Ah Reigns ,   USA   (12.30.12)
to Rome
13. Peres, a fantasizer, out of touch with reality.
michael Pielet ,   israel   (12.30.12)
If Peres has his way, a second arab Iranian terroist state would be created in Judea and Samaria. Result constant missile and rocket attacks on Jerusalem and gush Dan. Constant terror attacks. Thousands of additional arab living in Judea and Samaria. A terrorist militant state under Iranian control constantly attacking the state of Israel. Knowing Peres I am not surprised. Under Ben Gurion's leadership, Peres implemented Ben Gurion's good decisions. Peres on his own disaster!
14. And oh -
Ralph Haglund ,   Sweden   (12.30.12)
only 11% of the Israelis support the "two-state solution" which is no solution. Those 11% include the 18% arabs, so one can guess they mostly consist of arabs and some extreme leftist Jews. Normal Jews do not believe in it after hearing NO from PA for 20 years and after reading the Fatah Constitution. Do that!
15. Listen to a most respected Israeli
StevieT ,   USA   (12.30.12)
War is easy to start, peace is harder to come by. Work hard in a sincere, last ditch effort for a reasonable accord. Your efforts will gain the strongest support from the free world countries. If best efforts fail, then bring in the hard boots.
16. Tell Simon to go to Ramallah
Ralph Haglund ,   Sweden   (12.30.12)
and not return until terror and hate incitament totally have stopped! That is what PA promised 20 years ago in Oslo, and what they got control over A, B for.
17. #15
D'D'Ah Reigns ,   USA   (12.30.12)
StevieT will be first move to Israel and wear the "hard boots"! I think - NOT a chance! "The free world strongest support"! NEVER happen! The Word of God says Israel belongs to the Jews forever! Stop giving up land! Failed policy!
18. I Don't Believe That I Have Ever.....
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (12.30.12)
agreed to a single word Mr. Peres has ever said.
19. To # 10. Shame on Peres
Keren Il-BR   (12.30.12)
100 years of Zionism mean conquering the whole Land of Israel, from the Sea to the River. No matter if it is peopled with Arabs. The land belongs to us by religious predicament. If there are foreign people living in our lands, lets absorb them, give them rights and treat them fairly, with a seat in our knesset and naming our streets with Arab names. One nation for two peoples. Peres should retire immediately. Shame on him.
20. Peres should have retired long ago.
Keren ,   IL-BR   (12.30.12)
If Israeli leaders(and" High Court" )start ,once and for all, protecting their people-JEWS-and star walking in the right direction NOW,everything will be alright. By that I mean stopping the uprooting policy of Jews in their land;implementing the uprooting policy of Arabs in Jews´ lands;expanding Jewish settlements;stopping Bituach Leumi for Arabs and letting them to their own to take care of them....and so on. If Israel starts firmy in such direction, everything will be good. It must courage and it must refreshed memory:the memory of our fathers and mothers;grandfathers and grandmothers and of all of our enough suffered ancestry. Israel performed a miracle and it is forbidden to waste such a miracle. It is forbidden even to think about that. Peres must retire and stop speaking bs!
21. Right Wing Racist Jews doomed to perpetual self destruction

Michael ,   Toronto,Canada   (12.30.12)
24. The Majority doesn't support Olmert
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (12.30.12)
He should have been placed in a Bet Avot ages ago Since, he say's it's a Majority, does he have any IMPARTIALl polls to back it up? If so, present them here and now !!
25. Me thinks He who brought Israel from among the nations.....
Galut ia ,   selah   (12.30.12)
....might have a say in Israels future state ... The Book of books tells the end of this story ... Check in with Hashem
26. #19 FAKE KEREN
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (12.30.12)
We can smell your stench not matter what alias you to choose to hide behind Last time you called yourself "Sarah B" in YOUR case the "B" stood for bastard
27. #15 Steve T. Pray tell, why has
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRA EL   (12.30.12)
the U.S. involved & instigated so many wars, or have your forgotten about the "Arab Spring" We have been attacked so many by the Arab Enemy, we don't take off our boots, we wleep wiith them on BTW- Your still have your own troops guarding the border between North & South Korea, don't you?
28. #6 Sam - have you found any new bombs
BEN JABO (MACHAL) ,   ISRAEL   (12.30.12)
in the trash containers outside of your schools, left there by your Arab cousins, when was the last time that you shipped in Kalkiya or had your car there?
29. PA rejected 'land for peace' in 2000 & 2006-8
Bob k ,   Orlando USA   (12.30.12)
It is a great pity that President Peres did not not mention that the Labor government of Ehud Barak in 2000 and the Kadima government of Ehud Olmert in 2006-8 both offered the PA land for peace, almost all of the 'west bank' and east Jerusalem. Both times the PA would not accept a two-stae solution based on 'land for peace'. The reason is that the PA, as Abbas repeatedly says, will never accept Israel as a Jewish state. Nor did Peres refer to the rocket threat from Gaza where there are no Israelis. I understand that Peres wants peace, who doesn't? But he cannot accept that the PA does not want peace and has refused to talk peace with Israel for the past 4 years. That is what Pers should have talked about to the 160 ambassadors.
30. Lets see if they support it with no east jeruselem
