Hashem gave us a mind to use and shape our destiny. However does not make our destiny for us. Now is the time to use our minds being calm and rational. We all agree that we want to live in peace and prosperity in a secular democratic state for the Jewish nation. Let's use our minds (we all know we can do it) to find ways to secure our borders, gain world wide diplomatic support and make peace with our Arab neighbors. It may seem impossible but 70 years ago it looked impossible to grow fruits and vegetables in that desert but our fathers did it using their minds. Let's focus on peace now, we will figure out how to do it.

You would have to be deaf & blind or living on an island cut-off from the world for the past 10 years to think that the PA (PLO) wants peace with Israel. Peres wants a 2 state solution, but Abbas has made it perfectly clear he only wants a one state solution. The only reason there aren't more terrorists attacks is because of Israeli security & intelligence services & the separation barrier.

Peres needs to retire as he belongs to the 'good old days' and the current world is behind his cultural capacity and intellectual comprehension. I would like to know How is it that this man who was in the Cabinet during the Yom Kippur War disaster and bears some responsibility for the disaster in 73 can still be in a position of power? Which country in the world allows a prominent stakeholder/non-executive personality to call a meeting and address all foreign govt reps ambassadors to-boot and address them without cabinet consensus. the president opined his views of the the way he sees reality today.. You might differ but it is in his right and he is obligated to say so. Just because Sarah said different and also Bibi and Benet followed suit does mean the man is wrong. If we act on the propaganda pushed out by Liberman and Bibi sure we have a lot to lose but if we look at the situation face value it is either to go down as a state of apartheid or realize we have to confer with human ethics and the world.
