People in Israel have been charged with incitement, "hate speech", and even "insulting" a public official. But Tibi went far beyond what's indicated in this article (I've seen some of the video excerpts). What he said, and how he said it, would be deemed "fighting words" here. It went well beyond a simple difference of opinion. If he can get away with it, all comparable public expressions from the other side should be given a pass too. And we'd end up with a very different, courser, and more dangerous society.
