When I enlisted in the IDF, years ago, few soldiers in our unit were complete idiots, imbecils, in the eyes of the rest of the soldiers as well as the people in charge, to the extent that we removed the firing pin from their M16, to avoid any risks. By the looks of it, the selection of new recruits in the IDF did not improved.

If the army wasn't a people's army but a professional army, this kind of incidents wouldn't occur

If you were to hear the horror stories of what is going on and how poorly fed and poorly clothed the soldiers are, you would scream. Parents always have to buy extra basic military clothing for the young soldiers.(undershirts, etc) As to the food, its barely dog food. All this can be blamed on the lousy leadership of Gantz. He has proven to be a horrible COS. I wish the young lady a speedy recovery and a quick exit from this dysfunctional excuse of an Army. You must throw out the current COS and start rebuilding the army, for your own sakes.
