If Muslims don't want to see Mohammed dressed in a bear suit, as the folks at South Park had planned, their sole recourse is not to watch. What if an Israeli magazine came out with a Christmas issue dedicated to insulting Christians around the world by showing Jesus sleeping with Mary and doing inappropriate acts with children? Would you think that this is just freedom of speech? What about the protocols of the elders of Zion, do they have permission to publish rubbish about Jews and rabbis? I think Charlie Hebdo is going beyond the limit of free speech and trying to insult people and increase circulation at the same time. Muslims don't have stomach for self criticism. Very few of them can criticize their own religion. Contrary to Christians and Jews ans non religion people who can enjoy this freedom. Wonder why? Figure it out best.

The magazine actually cited ISLAMIC sources for the information used. It's not like they propagandized anything. I've actually studied quran and haditha, have you? I can verify that it's full of things that today's society finds absolutely repulsive. The same goes for the Talmud, but the difference is that we're aware that some of those things have no place in society, Muslims do not. They believe rioting & killing is an appropriate response to simply repeating what their books say. Your example of Jesus is a strawman attack, because that's not equivalent to what the magazine did. They didn't make stuff up as you did, they used Islamic resources recognized as authoritative.
